already got 3 sittin there lol:p, 1s in the photo.
i got a cheapo meter that tells me output...cost etc but i havent pluged it in yet. its in my pile of goodies sumwhere

Yeah, you're just adjusting the constant current. With the B series you just use a knob or dial to adjust brightness. I guess I would've went with the B if that's the route you wanted to take. No difference in price

o well too l8 now.
i can still playaround with w/'/g ....cant i.
if i adjust the knob the cobs get lower current...less watts or have i understood something totally wrong:drunk2:

no you are right
yours is fully adjustable
just not with potentiometer
which is perfectly fine
run @50% in veg
turn to 100% for flower
no big deal

yeah but the scary thing is this is old tech
new tech is nanomicrochips built into virus/microbiology
you incubate the flu
they track the flu
and now where you are at all times...data logged and uploaded to the "cloud"

wild stuff now a days
welcome to Orwellianville Club 1984

sounds pretty trippy.. seems like that will open the door for hackers too..

i asked a question during organic wars.:shockedninja:
am i right in saying veg needs some warm light to keep nodes tight and flower needs cool to stop stretching?
it seems strange?..

Essentially, yes, yours can be adjusted that way. You're just adjusting the current. With the B, you can wire in a potentiometer so you set it to your desired current @ 100%, and then wallah. I have the B series, so this is how I adjust my brightness.

i still dont get the difference, u are lowering current too arent you

oh sorry
no your q was backwards
blue light cause shorter plants with tighter nodes
red increases elongation but also induces rapid growth
so heavy blue during veg
heavy red during flower
of course with balance
as in
not just polar colors
but leaning in each spectrum if that makes sense

you are adjusting current as well
he just has to do it MORE manually

Lol I'm aware. But I'm not busting out a screwdriver and volt ohm meter every time I want to adjust. It's just quicker.
it would be pretty hard considering yours is incased
but his driver is exposed and he can even remotely mount his driver and adjust when he like
he can hook his driver up to a kill-a-watt and know exactly what he is running when he turns it up ot down

Lol I'm more than aware of all of this. I'm just saying, the B version makes dimming a lot easier. And cost is the same. Nothing he can do about it now obviously.

Tbh, I haven't had the passive cooled cobs, but I really like my enclosed case. And I think I'd still prefer it over passive if I had both. Active cooling, compact, and not a spiderweb of wires all over the place. But, that comes with a price.

my plan was to run my 4000k for veg and 4:1 2700k:3500k flower.
now im considering 4000/3500k 50/50 veg and suplement 2700k with 4000k flower 4:1:drunk2:
