The Hammerhead/MOAB combo is awesome, however they changed Hammerhead a few years back and I think have since discontinued it all together now.

I have used FIRE and MOAB (home made) and also SIZE and MOAB (home made) with great results.

If you are into the whole mixing salts to make your own there are some threads that have some info on how to make your own Hammerhead though. Here's one I found with a quick search.

https://www.thcfarmer.com/community/threads/hammerhead-0-9-18-making-my-own.76527/

Also, there is a powder form of hammerhead available from a small company based in San Diego.

Thanks so much for your help! I want to try to make my own. It would be more economical, and I can be more certain of the formulation.

At these prices, you can start your own fertilizer company and be the next advanced nutrients! At 99% MKP, I don't foresee how Moab does anything more than the 50 other competitors. Not bashing it, but if you want the same results and want to make your own, just buy a bag of MKP and be done with it. If you want to add B vits, which to this day have produced no scientific evidence of any benefit whatsoever (I still use superthrive), just add it separately to the res.

Hey Caps,

Thanks for info man. I ordered your full lineup 2 weeks ago and got it in 3 days and this last week all my plants been praying. Just wanted to say thanks because yesterday was first day after lots of concentrated doses of ur caps bennies (and I mean I hit those mofos with concentrated bayer and everything else u can think of and nothing..)that my first ever root aphid problem is now completely eradicated. All this damn time the plants that were looking nute deficient, like iron or magnesium deficiency or phosp overdose...and turns out they were being fucked with RA. So big thank you man. I gave my cousin half of the Foliar, Root and Nute packs And my cousin is now like damn bro we need to order the biggest pack of that shit haha.

So anyways...seamaiden I know u got some dope info been secretly admiring all ur threads, can you all help me out? Trying to make my own nutes (MOAB and Hammerhead) but when mixed in res it seems i'm having mixed results with salts not properly mixing well. So I prefer to make liquid formulas for stability.

"So here we have Advanced Nutrients Hammerhead PK 9/18.
Recipe as follows for 1 Litre size....

MonoPotassium Phosphate (0-52-34) 78.2g
Sulphate of Potash (0-0-41) 91.8g " taken from yorkshireman http://www.invalid.com/t/advanced-nutrients-lie-on-their-labels.485086/page-4

Potash doesn't dissolve well so had to shake it up a lot. But this is for 0-9-18 Hammerhead. Is it true that 2-4-10 ratio is preferred NPK for plants in flower weeks 1-3? @ 5ml /gal? Then 2.5ml/gal when adding MOAB weeks 4-6?

Also, I don't have any MAP but I do have Potassium Nitrate that has a NPK of 13-0-45. And I also have epson salts for sulfur thats in MAP. Anyone know recipe for MOAB using MKP and Potassium Nitrate and Epson Salts? I swear I seen this recipe somewhere, why else would I have bought this damn 5lb Potassium Nitrate lmao...

Doesn't MOAB also have aminos? That's what I put in my homemade MOAB, IIRC. (It's been YEARS, so I'm going off fawlty memory sticks.)
Hey Seamaiden whats up. Could you perhaps share this homemade recipe? I been adding this Humic/Kelp/Amino Blend to my flowering regimen with my MOAB but I simply don't have the experience to back up any claims of what is and isn't working better..this my first grow lol

B12 has veen proven to do stuff :) plants placed in a plain water or b12 water lasted another 2 weeks i do believe.. so something to it esp when rooting clones. Cheers

As for dif products working better when based of mkp. Keep in mind some have pgr s aka hormones added aswell.

RECIPE FOR MOAB w/out vitamin B-1 @ 1 tsp/5 gal:

.1 grams/gal MAP
1.07 grams per gallon MKP

this is based on my MOAB weighing 5.7 grams per teaspoon and coming out to

N:3
P:68
K: 80

when added to 5 gallons of water (recommended dose is 1-2 tsp per 5 gal)

.1 MAP and 1.07 MKP comes out to

N: 3
P: 71
K: 80

so its pretty close considering the small amounts being used. If you want 2 tsp/5 gal strength just double it. .2 MAP and 2.14 MKP

I buy my salts at www.customhydronutrients.com

happy growing.
I am in the process of trying to create this, I don't have any experience mixing chemical salts so I did some reading...please anyone correct me if I am wrong as I would like to do this right and I would like to get the right information out there fore those farmers interested....

MIXING PROCESS
mix suggest. weight of MAP to 1/2 gal of pure water, mix thoroughly. Then add that to a 1 gal container already containing a 1/2 Gal of Pure water. Mix thoroughly.

Same above process for MKP.

Then, when making a 5 gal A+B nutrient solution you would add your silica, then calmag. Next add part A, then B.

Next add your MOAB
1-2 Tsp of MAP
1-Tsp of MKP

Then Ph to around 6.0

Is this the RIGHT way? Or is this the WRONG way?

I'm thinking this is the wrong way ^....

Would you weigh them separately and combine them, then add the combination at around 1-2tsp / 5 gallons for MOAB?
