Yes...im upping it to 4 per 1k hood... roughly 15-20% uv

But look on amazon...make sure its 10.0 (10%uvb) and 26 watt
The 5.0 is a tropic bulb...where the tree canopy would block a lot in nature.
And the 13s are shit

Pet smart and other store mark up this product because people need them right away for their reptiles..calcium uptake or something... i try to search amazon first...you will get defective bulbs sometimes and they replace no problem
