Dumb Question =p Watering Plants In The Back Of A Tent!

So this is my first grow in a tent and will be my first grow in a soilless medium. Coming from recirculating setups, it's not something i ever really had to worry about or even think about.

Eventually, I'd like to automate watering but for now will be doing it by hand. To those watering in tents by hand, how are you getting to the plants in the back? Any creative solutions or not so creative solutions? Right now i have a watering can with flexible tube around the spout so that i'm able to get to the plants in the back. Not the prettiest but seems somewhat functional. Let's hear what you guys are doing!

Of course i could unzip the sides but that can equally be a pain in the ass..

Been looking at small on demand pumps to hook to the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket recently.

I like this idea.. Any recommendations on a pump that can push water through at least 25 feet of hose? I'm sure Little Giant has something that's suitable.. Would 1/2HP be overkill? I suppose i could use a valve to overcome this. Perhaps a Dramm water breaker/wand with some sort of valve. That could make life easier. lol

I think it depends more if the hose will be elevated from the reservoir or will the reservoir be level with the plants?

Reservoir would be in the same room as my utility/laundry sink. The room with the tent is probably over 30 feet away, i'd have to measure. Elevating the reservoir wouldn't be a problem. It'd be great to not have to lug water around, that could be quite a chore. haha

The hand pump sprayer is cheap and effective. I used one for a bit until I got my watering automated. The pump, hose, wand option is better if you are able. IMO, a $50 633GPH pump should be more than enough to push water through 30’ of 1/2” hose.

I had to grow in a temp space once and had same issue. I cut a length of pvc pipe. In one end I put an elbow so water would go down into pot. On other end I put a 2 liter pop bottle with top cut off. Wired in place. Then just put water into pop bottle. Jury rigged but works until can automate

Here’s what I’m using, the pumps an “echo 264” and will pump 7-8 gallons out through the (6) individual loops in about 15-20 minutes.

1/2hp is too much for a single garden hose imo.unless ya want to water shooting out as if your putting out the fiya :fire::fire::fire::fire: :cool: i think 1/4 hp would be better,or a pond pump from home depot like the last post uses,submersible style

i used this pump for years on my old garden to water from 10 to 18 plants at once off drip pipe,running 8 to 10min sets 2 x a day worked like a champ
