Is It Safe To Dry Seeded Buds Outdoors In Winter?

I would like to stick my drying rack outside so the house won't wreak of white widow . Temps are still dropping below freezing. How harmful would it effect my seeds?

The sensitivity of seeds to cold, light and NO3 is dependent on the length of time the seeds have been dry after-ripened.

Dry air-exposure combined with the cold temperatures immediately following harvest, will lower the desiccation-tolerance of the seeds and ultimately lead to a loss of viability - at least to some degree.

Are the seeds fully-matured?

not sure how new seeds will react to cold weather ,but i keep all my seeds in the freezer and have for 25 years now .i just started some 15 yearold super skunk seeds. really didnt think they would sprout but they were more vigorous than some that i bought that were supposedly fresh. also started some nuken seeds that had been frozen for 12 years ,only 2 out of 4 sprouted but still better than i expected

I've harvested the top buds/colas. Just want the seeds to release. I'll wait.
