Hello. This is my first grow I have definitely learned a lot and have just started gorilla glue auto they are 5 days old. The bigger plants are 4 months old (first grow didn’t know anything about light schedules, nutrients, temp etc. how do they look. They have been on a 12/12 schedule for 45 days. How do they look ? Can anyone tell me anything about them? Thank you!!

I was wondering that too ..Looks like a street light .
by yellowish color it's a good light for flower, because of the yellowish color there fro having some good flower light spectrums , now in veg a light is on the bright side - figure it's some were around a 400 watt or 100 watt cfl
would consider lowering the light

If they are "auto's" believe that you need light cycle of 18/6 thru entire grow. Your plants look good but consider switching to 18/6 this will really increase your yields !!!! Peace Whats' your light are you running ?
They are not auto. The two large plant cane from some seeds I found. I really didn’t think they would grow as I got into researching I found how much I enjoy it so I ordered legit seeds and am trying to do it right I am in the process of building a grow enclosure. I know I have a lot to learn and this site is a great resource

How much is to much light ?

It doesn't really work the way you are thinking. As long as you can control the temps and supply the food needed to grow, the more light the better. But you are upping the plants metabolic rate with more light....you need to support it with food/water/temps/rh/co2. As long as you do that, it's hard to have too much light. I've done 4500 in a 5x10 w/co2.

So it's not a question of "too much light." It's a question of striking the right balance. The balance of what your setup will support for optimal quality and yield. And the first thing I thought when I saw your pics was that you need more light. I would do at least 400 veg and 600 for flower in a 4x4.

See how small your plants are? You've gone through all this effort and time, to yield very little. You will see once it's dried and cured. If you had more light, you would yield substantially more. One plant would out yield 4 of what you have there. But too much light and not enough cooling = heat problems. Too much light but not enough nutes will cook your plants. Too much nutes but not enough light will burn the plants. It's all about the balance. Right now, you are way to lean on light.

It looks great for your first time. If your worst mistake was not having enough wattage, that's an easy fix.

Good point !!!!! 3 things one needs for good yields:
Good Genetics'
Good Light
Good Medium

Getting there. Looking good! I’d say another couple weeks and the bigger ones should be ready to harvest.

Why do you have those seedlings in such large pots?

Not bad they look quite healthy, but it seems you are just improvising it all. On next grow you do the vegatatic state for x weeks deoending on your plan (screen of green/big and tall etc), and after you start flower then you do t go back I.e. dont give them less than 12h dark/night you just loose juice.. any mistake takes yield so perfekt It! Photo: 1month into flower on a 500$ budget 1st grow/ i was aiming at low wide plants with many tops and doing quite allright.
