my big problems with 10 gallon is #1 room the pots are 20inchx20inch and #2 is cost to fill with soil.i dont get really big plants indoors so if i can get away with smaller pots it would be great.

I'm with you. I use Happy Frog soul & Sensi Nutrients I use 4 gallon smart pots & my girls are growing out of control. I'm going to be flipping them to 12/12 in another week & a half. 4 gallon pots are PERFECT size for me. 12 plants take up space enough.

Now that all depends on what you want to grow, the largest pot I ever use for a big outdoors plant is a 5gal max, unless your plants are 8ft tall all your doing is wasting expensive dirt.

At a minimum, this is about a 2-3 gal with a layer of rock and a 1/4” hole in the bottom. Got 2-4 oz outdoors last year with minimum kmowledge and effort.
