Breeding Autoflowering?

Hi guys, i don't mind buying the autoflower seeds but i was wondering if they can be bread.
I have in mind the method to get feminized seeds, the one with colloidal silver. So i think that when they start to show the sex i might spray one female with colloidal silver and she becomes a male and then she will poliminate the other females and get seeds, both of them should be autoflower. will i get autoflower seeds with this? anyone got any oppinion?

Here's my opinion.....
First off I would want to start with "regular auto seeds". The reason behind this is, the resulting seeds are less likely to hermie on you.
Second I would be looking into reputable sources for my seed. I would be looking for a breeder who takes the time to select the seeds that autoflower to continue the "seed line" with, till those resulting seeds are all auto bloomers. It is possible to have a seedline in which only a few will autobloom. This is why it is crucial to find a breeder who has taken the time to "work out the kinks " so to speak.
To answer your question.... Yes it is possible to take an autoblooming variety, reverse it, and pass that pollen on to another autoblooming plant, to result in autoblooming, feminizied seed.

I believe, starting with feminizied seed( depening how many generations it has been feminizied) can result in the seeds having issues with hermaphrodite trait.

I have heard that sativa landrace strains have issues with hermaphrodite traits but never feminized seeds. I'm not sayin it isn't true I just never heard of it, also, many seed banks sell feminized seeds and most of them don't have problems with hermies. Please correct me if I'm wrong about the above statement.

i don't have any experience with feminized seeds or auto's, only with regular seeds but i'm planning to procure 10 autoflowering seeds and try it out...see what comes out of it. Anyway thanks a lot for your help. Appreciate it!:D

I am sorry but what dose land race mean I have seen it used in shows and DVD but I have no idea what it means... is it because they can be planted so close it's a race to fill the land with so many ? I never hear the term used in the USA just over seas sorry to thread jack just had to know...

A land race is a strain that comes from an original geographical location, there are strains that have been growing in places like Mexico, Columbia, Afghanistan, India, ect... for hundreds if not thousands of years and they are land race strains. Nowadays with all the technology for indoor growing alot of the original strains have been lost due to breeding from growers since the 1970's (I think that date is correct). So now when you buy seeds from a seed bank your getting hybrids that were created usually from land race strains in the beginning. There are still land race strains in Africa, Asia, Central and South America but seed companies that get there hands on them use em for hybrids because they have pure genetics that are great for breeding. I think I'm accurate with that information but I'm not 100% certain.

Land races are really hard to come by and the problem is, even in countries where they originate from, that the growers there are starting to use hybrid seeds from the dutch breeders.. at least that's how it has been happening in Jamaica.

SativaMan, once I ordered 10 pack Diesel Ryder (autoflower strain) from Joint Doctor and I made crosses with the nicest plants that came out of this 10 seeds. Since then, I've been giving away seeds to my Friends for a while now, motivating people to grow their own.

I do not recommend autoflower strains if you have a nice setup, cause mostly they are short and don't yield much.. also they use more light in the entire cycle, from veg to flower (24hrs) so you end up spending more money in electric bills.
But for small stealth grows they are good cause they stay short.

I am also in the beginning stages of breeding with Auto flowering Strains and with my 8yrs of growing, stopped for past 5yrs, I have to agree with LEX. I plan on starting with Regular Seeds and the best I can afford.. my goal is to make my own Auto's of a strong Bubblegum cross.. T.H. Seeds has real Indiana Bubblegum but only avail as a Fem Seed.. probably so peeps won't duplicate and have to buy more from them.. not me. Right now I'm looking at Onyx by breeder "Stitch" and has AK47 x White Russian x Diesel and according to Stitch a few secret fathers.. a very big plant for auto.. This will be my father and the real Bubblegum the mother.. then I will backcross until I get the flavor of sweetness I want.... walla. never buy seeds again and have a fast flowering strain. I have a secret of my own that finishes in 45 days and he'll be added to the mix.. I do this for myself and give away seeds so others can try... My only strain out there is Wardawg (AK47 X Chemdog D/PW/BMS) but under another name..lol. Here are a few other strains I'd look at for some good daddies.. Russian Rocket Fuel, The Shiznit, Yeti and Dr Feelgood... buy like 6 reg seeds and a few feminized seeds of the mother of these genetics.. Mine is Onyx X Bubblegum bro.. what's yours gonna be..? I am just starting my 1st adventure in autoflowering.. I think I read you were wanting to breed.?? What you might consider doing is purchasing your main strain in Feminized and then another auto like oh: Russian Rocket Fuel, that offers regular seeds too so you get your male. It is much harder to make your own fem'd seeds and not sure I'd recommend it to someone with minimal breeding experience, but to each his own.. I am currently growing Sour60, BOG's Sour Bubble and looks like I'll have 1 male and 4 girls... very happy is so as I intend on dusting all 4 girls to stock up my seeds... hehe. good luck bro

Wow, it's amazing what all I've done since my last post in this thread, so thought I'd stop in and touch base wit ya's..

The AK47 x Sour60, aka: BubbleguN wound up being some super potent stuff that was pretty easy to grow.. I pollinated a female that smelled of bubblegum trying to isolate the Sour60 side of the plant more.. Grew it out again and felt it needed more or better branching and hit her again using Assassin F2 and named it Sniper..
In 2015 I'm happy to say Sniper already has quite a following and has been taken to F3 with test growers starting out complaining while I kept saying, just wait.. the last 3 wks the plant blows up with buds over tripling in size and getting sticky/stinky.
I then crossed another 2 strains a Canadian brother sent me..
Deimos x Maxine/Superfreak X Gorilla Grape #5 x Maxine/Superfreak = DV8R.. I grew this one out a few times and can say I'm very happy with the results of it too.. I mainly do these crosses so I don't have to buy seeds from seed banks.. I don't make many using this pre-flower method allowing the male to only pollinate the early white hairs on the females then cutting the males down, this gives me about 20-30 seeds on the females closest to the male and 10-20 from others who receive fan blown pollen..

This grow I'll be making myself some more seeds and some more crosses.. and no worries, I don't allow my seeds to get out to much but mainly do this for me.

This grow: Kushryder x Gorilla Grape #5, Mi5, Onyx, W.W. Fem, NL x Big Bud fem, And since I only had 1-4 seeds of each, 2 being feminized, I'll be choosing a male to fling some goodness all over the girls.. plant pornography if ya like.. enter 60's music here.. LOL> My goal after research is to hope I get a male Onyx for it's
size and fruity aroma along with great potency from the White Russian used in its breeding.. I can see this crossed with White Widow becoming something nice to grow.. maybe I'll get lucky.. right now they are about 2wks old..

The 1st 8 to pop up with 4 more who are a few days old, Onyx being 2 of them.. so the female will be of a nice size by the time a male is ready to drop pollen giving me a nice batch of seeds.. sweet

2 = Mi5
1 = White Widow
1 =Northern Lights x Big Bud

The White Widow Feminized I hope to get pregnant.. lol

Why not just reverse a female auto to another female auto giving you all auto females?
