Landrace Malawi has very little variations, so unless it was crossed with an Indica or a hybrid, it should have small leaves and airy/fluffy buds...Jamaican Lambsbreath was a well known strain that was a true Sativa. They are hard to grow indoors because of their height. One trick I did was to grow for 3 weeks at 18, 2 weeks at 12 which would start flowering, then go back to 18. You will get an explosion of new shoots everywhere buds showed their hairs. This makes them much bushier and better suited to an indoor grow. I've also successfully got multiple harvests from Sativas, although the yield decreases with each cycle.
FWIW

Looking pretty Indica dude like not even close to sativa

My malaei x panama is weird sativa looking. I have never grown anything that looks like it before.

It is 4 feet tall and will not stack much weight but it will be killer.

I have some straight Malawi seeds, not gold. Here is what the Malawi x Panama looks like at day 61 flowering. The leaves became pretty thin as it went, and on small buds, they are super thin. They were topped twice early on and flowered at 11", day 28 from seed.

it takes a bold and patient grower to grow pure sativas like that indoors.looks like they still have a fair bit to go at 61 days.going good though.

These have been bred to grow indoors for years by Ace seeds and are supposed to finish in 11 to 12 weeks. And I am into week 10 now. Will see how it goes. Thanks!

there's still not many growers who take stuff 11-12 weeks.10 weeks is my max these days.

It was a first for me. It has been a learning experience for sure. I do usually grow 7 to 9 week strains. I have 2 Northern Lights, 1 Bubblegum auto, and 1 Mazar in flowering currently with other strains starting to replace the Sativas. Just harvested a Sk #1. I am in the process of getting it timed so I'm harvesting a plant or 2 every few weeks. Concentrating on quality and variety. Your right, I haven't seen anyone on this forum that is currently growing any 100% pure Sativa strains.
Happy growing!

I’m gonna ask if you guys can chime in some more. I just purchased Malawi Gold from real seeds.com
I’m indoors and was wanting more info on flowering.. I’m in soil with a couple thousand watts of decent LED
