I used about 2 oz of dried flower scraps, fluff and trimmings to create an ever clear extracted tincure. I allowed it to rest in a dark cool place for approx 90 days. I recently strained thru cheesecloth and a coffee filter. I now have a nicely filtered tincure. Couple questions....
1) Any value to the bubblehash looking material collected in the coffee filter?
2) Anybody have some suggestions on further processing from here?
I've tried the tincture under the tongue with some success. I'm interested to hear any experience with further processing. Evaporation? That would be hash oil then? I'm new to the concentrates game. Lol. Yes I did do a little digging for tincure info, but dead-ended on some old threads. Any info or push in the right direction is always appreciated. Thanks farmers.

I use abv for tincture. So it is not that strong at first and needs to evaporate and reduce to half. At that point, about half a dropper of my little 30ml bottles gets me stoned.
I guess if you reduced even further you would end up with an oil (rso) as you said. You can provide some heat and evaporate all the alcohol. Well most of it.
As for leftovers, i made it from leftovers so whatevers left gets trashed. But i guess you can try to process it further with butter..

My thoughts are to eventually use a type of water distiller to remove and recycle the alcohol. I'm using 200 proof/100% grain alcohol for my tinctures.
I've seen a product out there that does just that. Collects the alcohol for reuse. A vacuum evaporation process. Can't recall at the moment though. Stonerlife.

That idea seems great. I’m really not making much to legitimise buying that kind of equipment tho..
Are you using 100% alcohol? Isn’t the clearest drinkable you can get 96%. Anything over that is processed with a known carcinogen “benzene” as far as i know. At least around here.

Material in the filter more or less spent waxes and solids? Not anything like bubble hash. Correct? All the goodies are suspended in the alcohol currently. Correct? Don't want to waste anything. LMAO.
Well its impossible to get 100% out but i am also not sure how much is left. Just make a batch of butter and see for yourself and enlighten me too please :)

Ohh, I'll be sure to share my results. Hmmmm, unknown potency budder for breakfast. Sounds like a hell of a Saturday morning to me. LMAO. So with the tincture. I'm not set up for a heat evaporation. I could, but curious if a cold evaporation by allowing the jar to set open in front of a fan is sufficient. In the garage? Lazy man approach. Haha. I'd probably place a piece of silk screen in the lid opening to breath and no contaminants.

Yeah i do it like that too. It just takes a little time.

Other than reducing the extraction and creating the RSO ish goo, any other recipes? I've read using tincture in edibles such as candies and lollipops when butter doesn't quite work.

I have made gummies that are excellent and there are a huge amount of other recipes as well.So far just the gummies and salve/balm for me and I'm very happy with results.

I prefer eliminating all the alcohol with this

This is a Green Oil Machine clone whose price keeps going up, and whose availability keeps going down.
Amazon wants $250 for it, but I got mine a year or so ago from wal-mart online for $130, which is now out of stock.

Assuming 190 proof everclear and a long soak, the left over sludge is mostly cellulose, and I toss mine.

Alcohol burns mouths and dissolves capsules, so I replace it with a small amount of oil after reclaiming most of it with that machine.
The resulting oil tincture can be used sublingually, put into capsules, or baked with.

I like to make a 1 oz tincture bottle with 30 g decarbed herb, which makes the potency about 4 or 5 mg thc per drop, assuming good 15% herb.

Correct, alcohol usually strips most of the thc out and what’s left over isn’t much , you can make a butter with it but I usually toss it.

Ok. Follow up. I evaporated a portion of tincture and ended up with an oil. RSO? Now, can I add a liquidizer to create e-juice? Or is it best suited for consumption as is? I'm preparing to process some other material using a proven method for e-juice, but I was wonder what to do with all the tincture I have.

I've tried to make e-juice with the resulting sluge but it separates. I'll try again after harvest this year and a lot more research. I'm Irish and the alcohol didn't bother me and tincture has stopped my leg cramps. I take 1 ml daily.

Is that pieces of stems in the lower picture? Just trying to figure out what they are
