I think that because the skittelz have produces such impressive buds that the star dawg can be quite deceptive . Looking at the above pics , there still seems to be a decent amount of bud on there

Day 84 flower And the skittelz are really starting to bulk up. The smell is absolutely beautiful . I was planning on starting flushing on Friday (day 87) however trichs only 40% cloudy . Have always ended up harvesting too early on previous grows so don’t want to make the same mistake again . Also unsure how long to flush for . Currently feeding EC 1.00 ionic bloom nutes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Day 88.
The skittelz are still piling on the weight and the smell is getting stronger day by day. I also noticed a couple of ‘bannanas’ On one of the main colas which really worried me to the point that I cut the top
Of the cola to check for any seeds but fortunately none were found .
Having looked more
Closely at the trichomes , it seems only around 30% are cloudy , not 40% as earlier stated . I have always ended up harvesting too early in the past either due to
Bud rot or onforseen circumstances so would like to harvest this run at the rite time with ideally 60% Amber trichomes .
I was going to start the flush this week however I am going to feed on half strength nutes (~ 0.5 ec) coco ionic bloom and then flush with PD’d water for the final week .
Have also been wondering wether to switch to 13 hours of darkness to speed up ripening however inside of this actually works .

I use the old way..pluck off a fan leaf and suck the juice..if it's bitter..flush some more..when neutral/sweet..chop away!
NICE PLANT!!

I just finished drying some Gorilla Zittles from Barney's (Yuk on Barneys, but good for GZ). Nice blend of Gorilla smoke flavored with Zittles..Great Rosin too.

Have been flushing for last 9 days with PH’d water . Today is the day for the harvest

First to chop : skittelz 1

So harvested at day 102. Trichomes however were only 30% milky and no Amber. The last 2 weeks I have however had problems with ‘nannas’ Springing out all over the place so didn’t want to let the plants go any longer.

Also harvested the star dawg which had bugs as dense as rocks !
Over all I am happy with how this grow turned out . The bud density of the skittelz was no where near that of star dawg . I have another 2 clones of skittelz however i will look at gifting these to a friend and look at growing a different strain next run .
I I’ll update dry weight and smoke report in next few weeks .

Checked on the drying buds this morning and the outside out the smaller to medium sized buds was dry and slightly Crispy to the touch bud the buds were ‘spongy’ and stems still bendy . I am purchasing some glass jars tomorrow but have placed them in Tupperware boxes until then .

I have tested one of the smaller buds and the taste was quite harsh which is to be expected with the bud not been cured however the taste was nonwhere near resembling skittles . I am hoping some curing will change this .

I have also tested the star dawg and this stuff tastes like it has already been cured and i am super impressed .

Time will tell how the skittelz turns out .
