Depends what he means by fog. If hes talking about a sulphur burner that doesnt affect humidity any longer than the burner is running, and the benefit of sulphur negates the risks from the humidity.

If he meant an atomizer, yeah that'll raise humidity. But they're awesome for getting the "cides" into every nook and cranny.
I think he was referring to a mister like used in some terrariums. I would avoid misters and stick with as you suggested an ultrasonic humidifier.

Ahh okay yeah I changed out the solistek a1 for my 4 foot T5 to help keep temps and humidity stable at 75-80 degrees and 50-60% and it’s been working! Would I see any signs of photoresperation on the plants if it were happening other than slow growth? So far they have been really happy since I took the 600 watt out
Maybe some slight drooping. But also higher CO2 can help reduce or eliminate the possibility. It's generally only a concern with very high lighting. I wouldn't be overly concerned if your plants are doing well then why change things. I was mostly posting for info to consider

How old are the plants) ...how many plants?

600 watt light is for flowering, are you planning on throwing 600 Watts of light at the floor with a few tiny plants?
You can also have a good grow with just a m
etal halide as well. Imho, I like a mh for growing and a hps for flowering, although I like to include some blues during flowering as well. I have done this for years, but a recent article I read regarding flowering with leds and higher thc levels. I was skeptical but the study seemed pretty solid. I used a 10 finishing bulb and got some wild purple expressions from it on a few plants. It was def the finishing bulb as the leaves or partial leaves were half green and half purple, depending on if they were under the light or shaded. I never saw such a dramatic purple color change.

I also see that with some strains when you swap the HPS for MH at the end. My bubba gets super purple leaves under MH.

These were actually flowered under a higher 6 or 7k my bulb, and I always got some purplibg. I tried the 10k bulb in place of the 6 or 7k bulb, and the purpling was super dynamic and fast...within a few days on the fan leaves...totally purple, no green, no yellow. I'm guessing it has to be the bulb as I have never seen purplibg like I did in this one particular plant.

Thank you aquaman! I could not have said that any better, but utimitley there his plants and he can run them as he sees fit, some people think more is better, more light, more food, more bloom, no rest, our longest day of the year is a tad over 15 hours, I run my plants 18 hours witch is 3 more hours of light then what they would have gotten outside, I must stand firm with aquaman for the reasons he so elonquetley stated.
