I have only used the micro grow and bloom with no additives in the past.
Curious to see what they will bring.
Looking good.
Last couple grows I've done were just micro, grow, bloom. This is my first attempt using the extras, already seeing a difference in stem size and foliage, looking forward to see harvest size now.

Hi, Are you saying those are 7 weeks old from seed to the size they are in the largest pics? What are those extra nutrients you're giving them? Are you giving them these nute's in veg? That's incredible growth, I'll follow along your diary.

Thanks! Yes 7 weeks from seed. All of the Nutes are all advanced nutrients, micro grow bloom are the base nutrients. The 4 smaller bottles are add ons to the micro, grow, bloom. Each one helps with different things. Some improve stem size and root structure, others help with foliage growth and flowers. You use different ones at different stages. Advanced nutrients has a calculator on the site as well as an app so you know the right quantities to use and when. Last couple grows I only used the base nutrients, this time I'm throwing everything I can at them and am noticing a huge difference. Thanks for following.

Update pics will be uploaded tonight!

Little update for everyone who's following. Built a net since I wasn't happy with the net I was using before, wasn't keeping the plant down like I would like and it was 4" squares. One I built has 2" squares so much easier to have control over the plant. Plant to the right ( Gorilla glue #4) isn't stretching like the other so I think I'll raise the pot up towards the net so I can get proper use out of it.

Nice job, I'm impressed by the growth you're getting out of those lights and nute's. What did the 1200 watt cost? cdn (ballpark) Amazon?

Thanks, I find topping and training them is the trick to getting good growth with this kind of setup. If I remember correctly I picked the 1200 up for 170 cdn shipped from amazon. I will eventually upgrade to better lighting but for the price and results I'm pleased.

Okay, good to know. I have a 1000w HPS that cost too much to run. I was looking at going with LED and then my 1000w ballast blew on me so without thinking I panicked and went out and paid $190 for a new one. It was a Simpsons moment when I thought about it afterwards. I could have gone LED for around the same price. I talked to the guys at the grow shop a couple of weeks later and they said the LED's you can get cheap on Amazon are useless and you need to spend big bucks to get the top notch LED's worth thousands. I'm glad to see you've proved them wrong so far. I'll be watching your flowering to see how that pans out for you. Good luck it'll be fun watching your progress.

look into cob/quantum board led's. You can build your own setup, customize your spectrum and light placement. Best part is they are efficient and put out much less heat than HID lights. cobkits.com

Power consumption and heat were my main reasons for going LED. I will agree that the more money you put out for lighting the better results you will have. I definitely wouldn't say the cheaper ones are useless though, I've had good results using the 600 watt and now with the 1200 beside it I know I'll be happier with the yeild. I'll be going with cob setups next time around though. I will say that I can't see a difference on my power bill at all having my setup.

Heat is not usually a problem for me, in fact for most of the year I need the heat the HPS provides, right now it's a pain it's getting up over 85f. but when it's on through the winter I can keep it around 75f so It's either heat from the light or heat from a heater. My biggest issue is the cost @ over$100 per month for the light alone, add fans, dehumidifier running 24/7it gets expensive. I'm sure I could recoup my cost in a year with LED's. Now I just have to convince my wife that if I spend more money on new gear we can save money in the long run.

Well 2 weeks into flowering today, figured I'd take some close ups and give a bit of a run down on these ladies. Both started out well, purple kush always seemed a bit more vigorous then the gorilla glue. I topped them early on as well as super cropped. Followed the nutrients as labeled on the bottle, feeding about 9L s of nutrient solution per plant per feeding, usually I get a good amount of run off. Been keeping lights roughly a foot above plants with fans going constantly across canopy. Swapping the 600 and 1200 lights back and forth so they both get time under the stronger light.

Well end of week 5, going into week 6 of flowering so 2-3 weeks left for the purple kush, hairs are turning already but trichomes are still almost all clear. Gorilla glue has 4-5 to go still. The smell is absolutely amazing I must say, and the density of the buds is surprising, rock hard with barely any give when squeezed. Im hoping the buds will fatten up a good bit in the next couple of weeks.

End of week 7 of flowering, gorilla glue is staying short but packing on a lot of weight now. Purple kush is almost done, I'd say a week or two left. Trichomes are of the purple kush using my scope.
