oh hell ya , didnt know u taught the kids....props bro....the best deal for being affordable from Fender is the Classic Vibe series....had the 50's Butterscotch Blonde Tele and 60's Vintage Burst strat....both were rite on bro...worth the $, alot of folks at Guitar Center that are looking for sumthin to get their kids ask all the time, "whats the best guitar to get my child to get started on" I tell them evrytime, u dont have to spend a fortune on a guitar.....buy used and save some cash, they are just as good and sometimes in new condition anyway, dig?
alot of these China made guitars dont have straight necks, good action, and most of all... good intonation....especially when using a Capo and such....sht man they suck....but when u find a good one , keep it dig?

Yeah I set them all up when I get them home. Even the new ones are almost always set up wrong. Simple to do unless you have to file high frets or the neck is really f-d up. I bought a Jay Turser tele with a back bow in the neck. Fixed by clamping thick steel to it and putting it in the oven. Plays like butter now.

wise words rite thar bro... even have to get em home and set up 4-5 times before they get rite....that dam truss rod has to be adjusted slowly and in proper time, had an acoustic I cranked and split the wood....lesson learned after that lol

Yep, first one I did I turned too much. A little at a time does the trick. I almost always put a good nut in too. Makes such a big difference. I use those graphite nuts so when you bend strings they go back in tune. As far as intonation it makes no sense why the don't come intonated. Its simple and takes very little time to do.

yes sir the last Tele was the Spalted Maple , made in Indonesia , was bad ass, came stock with graphite nut, loved it stock, only thing was high E string seemed so close to the edge of the neck that sumtimes when u tried to bend the wrong way would go over the edge of the neck, sucked , but other than that was a Fire guitar, another one had to sell along the way ....seymour duncans hot rails, with coil tap, luv the coil tap man ... played soooo good, Special Edition Custom Spalted Maple Tele....hard to find...if u find one , get it bro

I just have an old Yamaha spruce top and a Fender I let the kids use. I would like to get my hands on a nice acoustic one of these days. Don't get me wrong the Yamaha plays nice but it's just a good ol banger, nothing special.

and they claim they are "factory set up " .....lmfao....not ! 5/64 is what we shoot for, from 1st fret to 12th... and intonation to boot...most adjust all the way with no bridge intonation at all... ya ya , in a perfect world ! I know... lmao , have had to turn saddles around 180 just to even get close to that factor lol
