Not all industry do that Spectrum king has a SK402 which is 400 TRUE watts which is 2 meanwell driver hlg-285/a/b..etc...Chilled logic 660 and hlg 550 those are all TRUE wattage from the wall ...so for you to say that they all do it is another falsehood and it still doesnt make it right. It should state MARS 185 and its not even 185 more like 156...so whats up with that? If i sold you cannabis I say its a 1oz portion and it gets you high like a 1/4 pound of swag it that right? no its wrong its taking advantage of people in a culture that has endured enough strife and demonization and they are profiting off it.......Its misleading no matter how you dice it . Its BIG corperations taking advantage of uninformed people its not right. and if you break it down its not even 185 true watts at that ........TSK! TSK! now the SP250 has a meanwell driver and its 240 watts , Thats all i am asking from them. To sell what they advertise. I think Mars has come around and been doing things to their own higher standards as of these newer lights which is commendable. Now they can just convert from epistar to cree and it will be more efficient then they already are. I am in no way complaining about the price or quality from MARS because they are unbeatable IMO in those categories but the OLD ways of NOT clarifying and click bait is BS and we should all ask for corps. to jus advertise of what your really getting with no confusions.Every single manufacturer does that. It's an equivalentcy rating. You are to replace a 3oow with that one.
If Mars was the only company that actually advertised the running wattage instead of the equivalentcy rating, it wouldn't go over very well. Everyone e else advertising 1500w and Mars advertising 300w for the equivalent light.
The industry has set the standard. Mars is just following the standard of equivalentcy ratings. Blame the industry, not one single manufacturer.
