This my first grow I just joined and was going to see if anyone can see if those are ready I understand the trichome method I just don’t want to do to early first time if anyone can help

Here’s a bunch of u notice I took a pic of 2 different plants one is og gelato other is ww thr first pic is white widow the big cola I feel I’ve been waiting forever since they’ve looked ready I’ve been waiting for trichomes to turn

I know I've tried to take pictures the same way before, but like I said above need a picture of your whole plant, or at least some bud pics, it's okay I've seen yellow leaves before, happens to us all

There so big cuz I vegged for 70 days thought there were auto flowers found out they weren’t ...so I had to break stem found method online and tie down Lst then I switched I would have flipped way earlier if I knew

Close! Considering the method you're trying is not really working what do you see when you look through the loop what percentage of clear cloudy and Amber do you think you see and I hope you're checking the bud not the Sugar Leaf check way in on the bud and let us know what you're seeing

This is a picture of the bud it looks almost exactly like this when I look through it without a phone just me ...60x...I feel like ya I gotta press down on bud to get more zoomed and it feels like some spots I look it’s clear and see through and some is milky ...this is the pic I took for what it’s worth I can see some starting to turn milky at the tips I read that’s what u look at is the ball tip at the end

In smoke spots it looks like blotches of all cloudy and some are all blotches of clear and it’s on the same bud I feel like I’m overexamining I just remember I tried a grow not a real one or I don’t count it where I had no jewel loupe it was my first time I picked it and the bud was airy and light and not good and just premature u could tell but the thing was it looked ready on the plant ...until I dried it

I'm not a great person to advise you in this matter, I have a whole post in the beach house thread where I rant about spending countless hours checking one plant because of just what you've described, the clear, mixed and Amber and everything else all on one bud! LOL under the best conditions my eyesight is sadly not what it once was

--> if you're in doubt give it another week is a good rule of thumb

in the meantime maybe somebody else can see what I can't see in those pictures

Edit: personally I can live with 5 to 10% clear and Amber and the rest cloudy; but everyone likes to harvest at a different point & that's just what I'm comfortable with, I will harvest at that point, but not before

I do all the time, I hang it somewhere for a couple days and it's usually smokable after around 48 hours

Plus after I pick the sample I like to put it flat on a counter and really zoom in with whatever tools I have that will give me a close-up using about 4 different tools I have, and using them all I can almost see what the hell I'm trying to look at LOL

Relax you're home free at this point it's going to be a nice nice Harvest! :) take your time & be sure

Looks like another week but don't take my word for it like I said my eyes are bad and I can barely see my own buds even when it's Crystal Clear but definitely wait I would wait another week because I see no Amber in that picture, doesn't mean it's not there I just can't see it

Ultimately it's going to have to come down to what you're seeing; check out that chart I sent you above that's a good one I just found that one it's better than the old chart I had

In a day and a half or two days smoke it see what you think and then check with the loop again in the meantime read and look at a lot of pictures and come up with a better idea what you want to see and at what point you want to harvest
