Hello Mighty Seed Sensei! My baby gears: Mars Hydro Grow Tent 27”x27”x63”, HLG 65 V2 4000k Quantum Board LED light V2 (Says Veg & Bloom), AC Infinity Cloudline inline duct fan, Vivosun 4” Carbon Filter, 6” circulating fan. Using Botanicare and Great White Mycorrhizae. Roots Organics dirt.
I’ll be moving my Tangerine Dream into a 3 gallon pot this week and want to have in place the correct LED flowering light when I switch to 12/12. My fan/filter/led light takes up 15” at the top of the tent. I understand I need a 400 watt LED light for flower. Or do I? If so, which one should I buy on Amazon that isn’t going to be too much for my tiny tent? Also, at the bottom of the tent are Blackberry and Mango Kush seedlings. They going to be ok when I switch to 12/12?

Oh yeah buddy, autoflower. You dont need to flip your lights shes going to flower up for you. id suggest 18/6 but id also wait for other members input.

And no your seedlings will need more than 14 hours of light. or 16? i cant remember.

The plants are under 18/6 lights, and the Tangerine is in a one gallon pot with roots showing, if I peek into the side, but not rootbound yet. It became a seedling on 9/22/19.

Maybe its me but it looks like that plant is already flowering. Is it an autoflowering plant?

As for light in your tent an HLG 100 in 3K would be good, you could run it along with the HLG65 you already have.
There’s a lot on sale on amazon right now for a kit . They say it’s a easy assembly kit and saves about 40%

That light seems full-spectrum, no need flower light. You can grow without a flower light for your first growing, see how it going, and then decide whether to add it for your second run.
It seems already in the flowering stage, it's time to switch to 12/12

If it is a autoflower which by dates provided I’d say for sure it is ! Needs at least 18-6 ! Hell I run mine 24 hrs until 10 days before harvest

She is in flower , check your timer, maybe it’s setup wrong. But indeed I’d switch out to a 12-12 setup now and move the seedlings to a small space with a light bulb over them to keep them going. Any sunlight type bulbs is sufficient to keep a plant in veg, may not be great but in a pinch it will give u time to figure out what you need to do. As for the main plant there. Yep it’s in full on flower. Switch to bloom nutes, add some calmag, and up pot to final container. Water less. Have a good fan blowing across the plant

Hey jack, do you switch autoflower plants light cycle to 12/12 ? If so why?
The plant is only about 45 days old and flowering in 18/6 and characteristics with leaf symptoms the calcium def/ mag def. all point to a autoflower version. Sorry not tryin to be an ass just wanna make sure this cat gets the right info! I hope I didn’t confuse anyone

Cause autoflowers flower with age not by amount of light and amount of dark I would say set 18/6 and keep ur seedlings in there that's what I'm doing with my autos just thru my photos in there they popped thru dirt today

Its only 42 days old I say an auto definitely especially if the timer is forsure set to 18/6
Timer is definitely 18/6. Lights out at 11pm and back on in the middle of the night. I'll pick up some flower nutes and cal/mag tomorrow and repot. I"ll leave the time at 18/6 for this round. Thanks much for noticing the plant was an autoflower, Smoking Gun. I didn't know I had an autoflower. Feeling dumb, but getting better every day from the kindness from the people in this forum. I appreciate all the suggestions.

I would not repot ! I would ride out the container you are using the lifespan of the auto flower is short and there will be no time for recovery from the transplant! It will affect your yield ! Just stay the course with her maybe give her a little cal mag but again I would not transplant
Just my opinion

Found that they respond well at 12-12. I’ve had no differences running 16-8 Vs 12-12. Plus I run so much photo period along it, I don’t have to mess around changing things up. We run thousands so one change is a huge deal for us. Lol! And agree if she is an auto, don’t up pot. Ride her out. I’m curious though, contact yr seed company, did they mess up?
