Is their any truth to 12/12 from seed causing hermies?

I keep hearing people say this but in my opinion, it's not even a valid point because the plants already have their sex and can't be changed just from light .

Don't know a definitive answer but the plants' sex can indeed be "changed" by the environment. Seedlings do have a defined sex but any plant can turn hermie if put under high stress- perhaps even by light

True but if we start at 12/12 we even take away the stress of the veg to bloom light cycle change and possible light type changing with it.

agree^^^^^^^ no stress involved if start to finish 12 hours of light,pretty much same thing as a auto in my opinion and really a good way to let the plant decide on it own when it wants to flower,true envorment can change that ,but a seed isnt a fish that can decide what it wants to be.
with that said might just be a little project for me to try one day sounds interesting

I'm really appreciative for all of your input. I have been relying on collecting bag seeds so it could have just been a male. I was posting because one of my plants turned out to be a male today so I was wondering if the whole lot would be male. Everything I have heard on forums (Or most of it) regarding a micro grow have been wrong. My roots from the male plant were PERFECT and swirling upwards. People said the roots wouldn't grow but they thrived. They said topping would stunt it for weeks but it only stopped for 2 days and then new growth came out fast. But then along with that were seed pods.

tell ya what friend.even these seeds sold as feminised,doesnt really mean thats what you get,me im straight out regular seeds,give me opritunity to make my own seeds if i come across something i like,there cheaper and you like banging mama you never know what you get even with ultra sound haaah,but ya with regs there cheaper if you buy seeds,you do it like this,if you want 5 girls plant 10 seeds,you might get one girls and rest males ,but what some the males may turn out to be can be impressive if you dig,why not take that one lady and the best male make your own shit and damn all the buying seeds gig,you feel me

I didn't buy these ones, these are from weed bags. I bought ones in the mail right now and those are auto flower/feminized. I usually give a higher ratio of 1/2 males and 1/2 females than 1 out of ten being females. It's a better rule of thumb to assume half are male.
