Hello People, whoever may be interested in my journey and would be willing to share ideas. I am an amateur marijuana grower in Ghana who has set out to turn into a full-time professional grower of high-quality sensimllia. I have a few grows under my belt, both indoor and outdoor, but nothing as serious as what I intend on for the future. Being in Ghana, i have faced certain limitations in terms of access to certain marijuana-specific ammendments. I have had to adjust with what we have locally as we have super-high import duties. With the tools, i have placed an order on AliExpress for most of what i might need in the beginning, a pH meter, TDS meter, hygrometers, thermoters, pocket microscope. I have seeds, purchased from Seedsman whom i have used a few times in the past. Going forward i may try out other seedbanks.

I have been an active reader of the forum since 2016, when i began growing and have learnt so much from this site and a few others. I plan on creating a perpetual grow thread where i can post pictures and information of what i am doing so I can get advice and suggestions from fellow growers so as to gear me in the right direction and avoid some mistakes i made earlier.

All suggestions are welcome. Negative and positive. I am in the course of setting up my make-shift grow area and would update you guys soon. I would be growing both indoors and outdoors.

PS: This is a copy my post at [Introduce Yourself]

As I plan on this being a perpetual thread where I can learn from your advice and suggestions, let me update you on my progress atm.

Seeds& Genetics: Currently I have 4 seedlings, 2 Power Africa x MK Ultra and 2 Peyote Wifi Feminized seeds, all from Seedsman. They were germinated on 5th December and sprouted on 7th December. I germinated these to just get my green thumb going. I have about 15 more seeds which i would begin with when fully set up. I might grow a few local landrace strains to cross with Seedsmans strains for seeds for my outdoor grow later in the year.

Grow Room Design and Set-up: I am still in the process of setting up my grow room, should be done by the end of the month. I plan on using a wooden structure sort of like a bunk bed. My reasons for using this design would be explained when i finish constructing this structure and I am open to suggestions on how to design subsequent structures. I believe grow tents would have been more efficient but currently i can't use that because of the crazily high import duties to Ghana being almost three times the price of the product itself. Also, grow tents aren't available locally. Hopefully as I expand, i hope to be able to use an Address Forwarder and buy in bulk all what i need off Amazon/AliExpress and ship them as one package which may save cost somehow. I am scouting AliBaba as well for better deals. I have painted my walls a flat white. I have 5 rooms available for growing. I would begin in one for now and expand gradually. Outdoor growing would be at my backyard.

Lights: I have 3 lights, 2 400W HPS fixtures and 1 MH fixture which can also bebused for HPS bulbs btw.

Nutrients: I would post pics of the nutrients I am using. They are all organic and due to previous results I had with them, i have stuck with them.

Grow Tools: As I have said earlier, i have placed an order for some basic tools I would use in the beginning. They are yet to arrive. For now, i use a pH color chart with strips to gauge my pH.

I have had no serious problems yet, that is since i began growing. However, i experienced a couple of serious problems with some seedlings a while back(yellowing leaves, very thin stems, super slow growth) when i experimented with Coco Coir. Switched to soil now and would be using soil for the foreseeable future till i am able to acquire some coco specific nutrients.

I am very determined to be successful, and your suggestions would be so much important in my grow journey. Even if it's just a few words.

Pictures of everything would be posted so suggestions are well informed. Thank You.

These are what i use during veg. A varying mix of these two bottles, at about 5-10ml/L concentration. I have no TDS meter yet, so i am unable to check for ppms. I would have one soon and begin doing that and taking a good record of my feedings. The pH of my feeding solutions are between 6-7. Can't be precise sice these color pH strips are very difficult to gauge.

This what I plan on using during flowering. With my previous pilot grows, i used the nutrients in the black container(IDROL-VEG) for vegetative stages and flowering stages. I believe all three nutrients are organic. The vegetative stage nutrients are labelled as such, the other one for flowering I can't really tell. It isn't labelled as organic, but the guy at the shop where i bought them said it was. And they smell very organic. (Like rotten fish). I haven't opened the bottle of the flowering ferts btw.

i dont see any reason you shoudnt be able to use both of these products all the way threw, the last bottle even tell you what your micro nutes ratio are, you plan was soil right, well these should do the trick,if you plan for less expense look into knf ,it very east to make your own nutrients from the plants that surround you and your envoremnet

@oldskol4evr Thanks for your input.uch appreciated. Just checked KNF out, would be doing some more reading on that and see how i can introduce that into my grow. Hopefully i should be able to experiment with it in my outdoor grow.

Very intresting man, i love these grow were people try to make as much as possible with as little as possible. I like the wooden structure bunk bed idea, I did the same thing with my current grow room, can check it out quick here its 2x2 meters: https://www.thcfarmer.com/threads/cheese-grow-dwc-scrog-and-defoliation-techniques.107927/
I be following along on this ride!
@OdlaFett Just checked your thread. Very impressed with your dyi tent. Mine is similar. I would post pics tomorrow. I'm hoping i can go full hydro next year(2021). Would be following your grow keenly as well as asking questions to learn what i can on hydro grows. Thanks for your input.
