450ppm is about my max for veg on the 500 scale. 150 to 200ppm cal/mag add nutes up to 450. The cal/mag would be for ro water. If water is already in that range disregard cal/mag.

I will add that i work my way up to 450 i dont start at 450.

I dont use ro water, I have spring water at my house, I live in the mountains. Hard to explain to people that my tap water has such low ppm, just tested at 11 ppm with 5.7 ph. Still runnin about 250 ppm and I’m guessin I should keep that number low. I was also warned to be careful with the GH trio and mix well below what the charts on the containers say. Thanks for the input!

Yes i've used the gh flora, micro, bloom mix years ago. The charts are for sure on the high side. The more you use the more you have to buy right?

Your lucky with your tap water. I'm envious, mine spits out around 400.

Always good to keep ur mind busy i know all about that. And maybe ease up on ferts a little u have leaf tip curling slightly in one pic it can be signs of too much nitrogen

Still figurin out the general hydroponics nutes, I had just gotten them towards the end of my last grow and about killed that plant. With the cal/mag I have to add in addition to sm-90 the magic number seems to be 250 ppm on my meter. A tiny amount of nutes, I mixed 15 gallons adding only 15ml of each of the three gh nutes, a tiny amount but the leaves are indicating they are happy with it. Its a wonder I havent fried this plant!

Here’s the runt that had the leaf spotting. She has finally started comin back after 8 weeks in veg I am increasing the nutes in anticipation of flippin to flower in a week or so

Hi peeps, if anybody’s still hangin out I have a hydro question. For topping off my res should I treat the make up water with cal mag and hydroguard? Been goin with straight water till the ppms drop and ph starts to rise then it gets a new batch. Have been giving a weekly change workin the ppm up gradually. Now 4 weeks in flower runnin 650 ppm goin in.
