So I need to warn you all now this is and has been a very cheap DIY grow, my first it started with a baggie seed from some very nice bud and am using it as a practice to growing before investing, I don't expect any large yeilds

It has had to deal with the cold temperature in my area at the moment so it is only just over 2ft tall I was just wondering if I need to give it more time or will it never start

Have you checked for light leaks?
I will apologize for some of the questions that may sound stupid but I don't know what you have done or not done and you listed as a new grower.

20 days in 52 at night and 66 to 68 in the day. lots of light

It's all good nothing seems stupid, for light leaks I don't believe so I will double check that tonight, I kept it in a smallish pot as I didn't want them growing too big is that holding them back

Temperature is still getting a bit low at night around 40's

Will it still go into flower even if its slower

i know that my ladys in the cold show slower than the ones I have in a controlled environment.
What is the very first thing I can look out for I I gave the pistols but nothing else the little finger leafs hiding the pistols have got a lot bigger now too

They are in a .66 gal pot. do you have a way to measure light? You may just not have enough. I know I use a less light when I want to slow down my clones.

They appear to be starting to show.
Your light source is part of the fuel system of your plant.
You can have a fast car with a big engine but if it can only hold a gallon fuel a day you wont get far very fast.

Thank you by the way for the advice one thing I'm never sure on is watering schedules

How far are you keeping your lights from canopy? 49w is about the output of a 48" T5. I believe Wally world or any hardware store will have a dual T5 fixture for cheap that will give you way better results. They even have led shop lights now for around $20.

Would start with getting what you have closer to your canopy and maybe look into one of the options I've mentioned above if your budget is of concern.

Your temp swing isn't bad but more lighting will help. It will flower but the buds won't swell without better light and you'll end up with airy buds.

There are a lot of posts on this site about light. Give them a read.

I took the attached screenshot from one of your photos and it appears female and is showing preflowers. Perhaps throwing such a small immature plant into flower is why it took so long, might not have been ready. Good luck with your lady, happy growing!!
