3x600w or 1x1000w and a 600w hps

I wouldn't use any other HPS bulb than a Hortilux HPS.

How many plants are you vegging at a time?
How many plants are you flowering at one time.

Teens/Veg light + flower Light.

What would benefit you more. Another light for a different stage of the plants life, or more wattage in the flower room?
Another light to start a second crop in the flowering room mid harvest?

A 3rd light for a mother plant/clones?

So many ways to go about it.

If you use air cooled you have to buy an exhaust fan to pull the air through.

Id go with a Vortex.

I'm not sure I understand your question. In 1 tent if that's meters then it = 7.5 ft tall and 4.5ft square. I use a 1000 w hps in a 5x5 ft square room for flowering with only 5 ft under the light. 3 - 600 w's would be over kill and it would put out too much heat to deal with. I now veg under t8 &t5 florescent's but I'd love to have my old 400 w hps for vegging under again. I liked the heat it put out and the coverage was better.

Yeah meters it’s basically 2.4 meters long nd 1.2 meters in depth and 1.8 tall not that big basically 4x8 in American terms

Hortilux is made for a 4 x 4. 2= 4 x 8

600w aint enough for a 4 x 4. 1000w Hortilux is made specifically for a 4 x 4. If ya got 2 x 4 x4 which equals 4 x 8 or 32sq/ft you need 2000w/HID for the space.

I start seedlings-flowering under 1000w Hortilux and have used 1000w HID for 40 years. Since 1978 which I used Halide then, as none of the HPS were Blue enhanced.

But I was ging to do what you suggest, Id give them 1000w First, and then finish with 600w.

Nah was gonna start them in one side nd slide them up a spot every 2 weeks to get a harvest every two weeks starting under the 600 for 4x4 nd moving under the 1000w for the last month of flower, chose 8 week strains to keep it flowing, just I’ve been yawing cheap leds nd I’m not happy with the quality want somthing actually worth the wait even if that means an extra £60 a month in power worth the smoke

I’m running 8” xxxl magnum hood as well 1000w what should my hang height be above plants? I’m at 40” right now with ambient temp 77f temp gun top of canopy is 75f

Id take it down to 24in, and then see what the temp is at the top of canopy. I like to the temp not to exceed 84f.

I’m packing it up at 40” I’m seeing twisted and distorted leafs I can’t control the temps so I’m switching over to my optic 1 xls and mars hydro tsl2000

i have a sun system de hood over 1.1 plants atm , the hood puts off mostly reflective light and the bulb doesnt get as hot as you would expect. it has been working well i have 77-81 f and 45 rh. the hood works well while not affecting the way the bulb operates. When you directly cool a bulb it may affect the bulb/light.This hood cools the area behind the internal reflector so it wont affect the bulb. this hood has no hot spots. i currently have a 1k hortilux hps de bulb over 1 plant pushed to super lumens with that hood. good luck man. hopefully you get it figured out.
