you get a feel for it, they all used to look the same to me and it was super frustrating.

The biggest cola from the plant is weighing in 2.2 oz WET. I am going to update the weight daily to understand the drying.

It is 65g right now, if it loses 80% of the weight as water then dry it should be 13-15g; close to 1/2 ounce

5 grams ish dry is my guess. What's your humidity?

Not letting it dry out too fast is important.
91% humidity outside today. It is showing 70% RH inside my tent. I just turned on the dehumidifier to bring it down some

Losing water weight fast! Without having weighed this bud, I wouldn’t have thought it changed much from yesterday. Still feels wet and little difference in weight just holding it.

The scale says different! Already lost almost 1 oz of water

The first time i weighed it (which was about 15 hours after chop) was 65g, now almost 48 hours after chop it is 40g.

Reading online it seems the weight loss from water is about 75-80%

I'm gonna stick with 13g for my guess :)

Here is the drying update for today, at 6PM it will be 3 days since chop, so this weight measurement is just a little shy of 3 days

1.1 oz or 31g

I am glad I am measuring this daily... I must have dropped the humidity to fast 70% to 50% in one day. Starting to smell like hay, so i added some moist hand towels to the tent...

I put together a chart following the water loss. The daily timing of my measurements has not been exact, AND I did not weight it as soon as i cut it. First measurement was 16 hours after cut, so i extrapolated.

Total weight loss from water so far is 70%, so I think this is close to final dry weight. I haven't seen any reports of more than 80% weight loss from dry. Also, i wet trimmed because of the high humidity where I live, so there should not be much weight loss from final trim either.

In researching this I came across an article saying that authorities try to use wet weight to charge people and they have brought in expert witnesses to explain the formula for final dry weight and normally in court cases they use 75-80% loss from wet weight to get final dry weight 😂

Dude. I like this. I'm interested. Please keep updating. This is going to help me predict my final dry weight off my plants I just harvested. I've always been curious. It's cool to see you taking the time to do the experiment for us.

Your next weight I'm going to guess is going to be 15gs tomorrow. It looks like it's starting to lose less weight per day, obviously cuz less water in there to dry..

It'll end up eh, 12gs. My guess!
