LSD25, Green Crack, AK47, Strawberry Cheese. Autos in DWC

Haven't been here since my first grow. Changed my gear up and I'm giving autos a shot. Seeds went into rooters on 4/10. 600w (300w until they have a few nodes) LED, 4x4 tent, and Jack's 321. I'll be topping each of them once, and doing LST and SCRoG.

If they are autoflowers, I would advise against the topping from my experience it slows them down to much and your yield will suffer.

Nice lookin set up!! What light you usin in there?

I've read that about topping, but I've also read that you can get away with one. I kind of want to see what happens. LOL. I say I'm going to top once, but I'm not 100%. I may still let it go natural, and then do the next grow with the same strains and top once for the comparison. I'll decide in a week or 2.

The light is 8 QB132s is 3500k with meanwell LRS 350-36 power supplies. I built a 36"x36" frame.

I can't actually use anything I grow because my job falls under DOT regs. I grow for my wife. I like the projects in this hobby though. I spent hours building the totes. I didn't like the commercial options available. 6" ABS pipe supports the weight of the plants now. I'm tired of sagging lids.

Nice , and you can top em I have, just had better luck bending to even canopy, everyone develops their own style,
WOW that’s a lotta light. I like it nice work! Any red in there?

Just what it comes with. The pic is the 3000k spectrum. Couldn't find one for the 3500k, but its similar with more blue.

4 for 4 on germination. LSD and Greencrack are Fastbuds, AK47 is ILGM, and Strawberry Cheese is a Graybeard freebie.

Stellar plants. Happy grows brotha. How do you like the HLG. Was that a DIY kit or you built yourself?
Burnz
Thank you. That pic is just one plant. White Widow filling a 4x4. It was my first grow. Haven't documented anything after. This is my first time with autos, so I'm documenting again.

The light wasn't a kit. Bought the boards off Amazon, PS' from Arrow, hardware from Ace. I like it a lot. Keep it 24-36" from the grow, and the plants stay low and bushy (so far).

One plant. Jeeeezus. Lol that’s an awesome first grow brotha. Following along for the autos. I have some auto seeds in route. Never grown them myself. Nice build btw.

Thanks. WW is fun to grow. Pretty forgiving. I only did one that big though. Too hard when they're that big, and veg was a long time. Multiple smaller plants is easier IMO.

It's fun trying autos. You get the whole "am I screwing this up" feeling back. LOL.

I've got a couple inches of tap root on the AK, LSD, and GC. Into the hydro they go. 5.8 pH, 1/3 strength Jack's.

I did make another change this grow. I use to run 2 of the Tetra pumps. 3.3lpm from each. That was less than 0.5lpm of air to each gallon of solution. I added the 15lpm air pump. Now I'm running >1.3lpm of air to each gallon.

Damn that’s one blanket of light

hey @Slappyjack im sure you could top them. i think they just respond better to LST overall since you dont slow growth down. Currently i have a few autos going that i'm LSTing. 34 days old and they have filled out a 5 gal cloth pot pretty well

The Strawberry Cheese is the lagger.

7 days after the seed went into the rapid rooter. They went into hydro at 3 days. Been getting 500ppm and 300 watts from 34" since then.
