this ought to b good...
EVERY one of those willow tree's i planted would be about 12-15 feet by now if the effing deer would just go away...lol...the effing eat deer repellent like a kid eats candy...tallest one is only 8 feet but they grow up to 6 inches a day if you just keep the hose runningFunny you should mention willow trees I've read about their cloning ability a few years ago... When I was researching fast growing trees because trees take a lifetime to grow and I don't have a life time left to enjoy them... The massive willow tree in my fishing area on the river keeps my bank from eroding... And I planted about 20 more on the edge of my property because someday I'm going to have neighborsView attachment 999042View attachment 999043View attachment 999044
Anyone ever made their own hormones before my ears are wide open

I'm so jealous, love willow trees & have not yet been able to get my own. Willow tree bark useful for many applications, cloning & fever reducer etc, have not made my own so no advice sorry but I'd totally try it if I had me a willow lolFunny you should mention willow trees I've read about their cloning ability a few years ago... Omg, I hate deer. They destroyed every bit of my garden 2 years in a row. They didnt even eat the melons, they just laid on them & squished them while they ate everything else except a couple cucumbers & a handful of green beans. Tried fence, hair, pee, pepper sprays ugh hate deerEVERY one of those willow tree's i planted would be about 12-15 feet by now if the effing deer would just go away...lol...the effing eat deer repellent like a kid eats candy...tallest one is only 8 feet but they grow up to 6 inches a day if you just keep the hose running

thanks...cause i was just thinking about making the tea thing and watering my clones with it...sounds like a waste of timeYou dont. It is a popular myth to soak willow branches in water and use that to root cuttings since willows are so easy and vigorous to root themselves. They contain an abundance of the popular rooting hormone (IBA?) and also salacitic acid (aspirin).
However neither of these substances are water soluble hence the myth.
I read an alcohol extraction could work but no studies are showing any effacy with willow branches.
I have giant swamp willows around my house. I thought and read about this a lot at one point.
