Hello people! Hope all is well.

I'm growing a granddaddy purple for the first time and I'm in week 3 of flowering. There are these little brown blobs on a few stems of my leaves. I checked for webbing around the leaves but I don't see anything, so I'm going to assume it not spiders mites, But I could be wrong. Any ideas on what it could be?

--Sorry if it difficult to see in the pictures I don't have the greatest camera.

... is there anything above your plants that could be dripping onto it?

I'm interested to read feedback from others. This looks peculiar to me, like something dripped onto the plant, rather than something oozing from the plant. Any chance you worked on your plants while eating pancakes with syrup and dripped on them? HAHA!!!

Is this blob thick like syrup? Does it have an odor?

🤣 it is hard when I go to take it off the stem but it's goey when I smush it between my fingers and the plant just smells like fresh weed to me. I don't see any white spots on the leaves. This is such an odd thing, maybe it nothing serious.

No it's likely a thrip; if you want to put up a picture of the whole plant maybe somebody can help you out good luck

Okay I thought it would been from my lights I did just raise them abit. But I will definitely add some magnesium

See how alot of your middle/older growth is very dark in the veins but light on the leaf color that will keep getting worse as the plant runs out, Foliar spary them with some epsom salts, 1-2 tsp per gallon of water in a spray bottle every day for a week should start to notice new growth much healthier and not turning light green, the older shit won't get better but it should stop getting worse.

Also add some to your feeding routine at the same rate.

Okay I will do that thank you! 🙂
Also my tap water is very hard, would it be an issue if I used my tap water to do the spray?

As long as you ph its fine, hard water is largely made up of calcium and magnesium anyway :D

You know, when I harvested mine last week, I noticed a little woody looking button right at the base of the main stem. I didn't pay much attention to it while handling the plant so I accidentally popped it. After some time I looked again and some sort of brown goo came out of it. Too bad I didn't take a picture but I sure as hell was confused

Yenno I asked a co worker what it could've been and he said it could be the plant leaking it own sap and that it a very rare thing to happen on marijuana plants
