Farmers in S. Oregon have been claiming that we are part of the Emerald Triangle, but if you Google it, it is clearly NOT. However, with our “Climate Change”, whether you believe it or not, it feels like it is. We had a fluke year last year with early rains, but living here my whole life I can see the change. Our weather is hotter in the summer, cooler nights used to start the third week of August and October was part of winter. It was always understood that you didn’t plant until Mothers Day and now we rarely have a freeze after March.

Hear ya on the weather. I’ve only been growing in SW Oregon for four years but I’ve roamed the coasts for years. Those rains messed us up a little last year—bad year for mold.

It’s fascinating to be the age where I grew up without cell phones or internet and to have watched it explode. I go back and forth between Oregon and Humboldt these says—Emerald Triangle
was, is, and always will be three counties that form a triangle on the map: Humboldt, Trinity, Mendocino.

Really enjoying this thread and everyone’s girls!
