Hi everyone,

I had some spare cash so I decided to do something I've always wanted, which is to grow my own weed. I dont know much of what I'm doing but I'm gonna try my luck and see what happens.

I bought an AC Infinity exhaust fan and a cheap LED light on amazon. I bought Fox Farm Ocean Soil and their nutrients. These seemed to have pretty decent reviews for beginners so I kind of just went with them. I've attached some pictures.

For seeds I bought from Growers choice.

5 Gorilla Glue
5 Critical Purple
5 White Widow

I'm planning on geminating 2 of the autoflowers tonight, and I'm kind of leaning towards the Gorilla Glue, because of a shorter flowering time.

I'm hoping I learn a lot and can get some advice from people here.

Thanks :)

First off i had terrible luck with growers choice, 2nd dont grow multiple srains at once it makes life easier, if you have tall plants your little strains will suffer, i use ffof exclusively just add pearlite for airation, if your growing autos get a good food i use botanacare pro grow after day 21 and very lighley, for flower i cant recomend atami bloombastic enough it blows flower up but if your running autos go very lighley, Sweet Seeds and Methisto are 2 great auto breeders, i hope you have better luck than me with gc, i have been growing autos 9 years and if thats what ur doing will be glad to help. I would go with the gorilla a fairly easy strain to grow.

Thanks for the responses everyone. So I've been doing some growing :)

I decided to just grow one strain at a time for my first, since it seems easier and the timelines were all the same. So I went with the Gorilla Glue. I planted them on March 9th.

One of the plants came up with the seed still on, so I had to remove that. It seemed to stunt the growth a bit.

Another seems to be starting to grow flowers already ?? It feels really early.

My temps have mostly been around 68-83. It's been hard to keep them consistent. Also humidity has been around 35%. So I bought a humidifer to keep it above 50%.

The bigger plant is just a regular seed I planted. I hope its not affecting anything.

But is it normal for this autoflower to look like this with only 3 weeks in here? What am I doing wrong.

Doesnt look like there is anything wrong from here. Looks like you have a little bit of a budget.. I would suggest more light. You have some pretty quality stuff, but the light is lacking imo.

Sweet! I was just worried about the white strands in the second pic. I wasn't sure if that is normal, or if it means its flowering. The plant is only 4 inches tall about lol

I spent probably about 500 bucks on everything so far. I got some good deals on amazon and had some credit for my birthday. I love your smart setup!

I think I'm gonna lower the light a bit

It should start preflower soon and stretch , they are a little small but look good and healthy to me! More light and keep on rockin let us see em a gain in a few days ?

Update.

The one plant started stretching and showing some hairs! Pretty exciting!!

The other plant is like a week or so behind. But the leaves are bigger and I feel like it will do a bit better as far as yield goes.

So far I have just given it distilled / bottled water every few days. Should I consider giving it some nutrients? I have the tiger bloom stuff. Any tips for giving nutrients?

These guys are still doing good it seems. Ones stretched way more than the other..

The one that's flowering just started showing some resins on the leaves and a faint fruity and earthy smell.

Anybody know what could be wrong? Some of my leaves have started turning yellow and brown. Mostly just the ones that probably won't make buds. Also it looks like some leaves have been tipping up. But I feel like I have minimal windage in the tent.

Is this normal? What should I do?

If you get pics in natural lite and more info like medium, nutes, temps,ph , anything really you will get some response.
No one is able to accurately help you as it is

Thanks Moshman.

So far all that I have been doing is watering with distilled water jugs I've been getting from the store. About twice a week I'll water them.

Once my smaller plant started flowering I put some tiger Bloom fox farm nutrients. I used 1/3 of their recommended general feeding. And pH'd to roughly 6-7. I say roughly because I don't have a digital pH meter. I just have the reagents.

Temps have been between 72 and 81. And humidity between 45% and 62%

I am also just using fox farm soil.

Here's some pictures and video.

Let me know if there's anything more I can give to help you, help me 🙂

I actually think this might be some heat stress since I lowered it before and they've since grown. So I raised the light a bit

Think I'm gonna harvest my smaller one in the next week or two. I'm just gonna feed it water for now I think. I heard two weeks to flush out the nutrients?

Smells mighty awesome. Can't wait for the bigger one now 😍😍

I know it's really late but here's a final update for y'all on this grow. Nothing worse than not seeing the final results.

I killed the big plant because I moved and tried to bring the plant with me.

The other plant was smoked successfully. I only got about 14 grams. But it was fire..
