Hello all. So I have an lsd-25 auto flower that I am trying to herm out so I can make some feminized seeds from it. Iโ€™ve been spraying my plant 2-3 times a day for 13 days and donโ€™t see any signs of the pollen sacs forming. The plant is starting to get some bud sites though. Has anyone had any luck doing this?

What % is your colloidal silver?
Fro. What I've read, you should start seeing nanners in 2 or 3 weeks.

Some plants will resist CS treatments I've found. Some will go straight boy and some will only throw a few nanners out of mostly fem buds. I don't have a way to know the true silver content (none of us do).I'm gonna brew some sts, look up on google for sts silver thiosulfate should find instructions for making some. You can get silver nitrate and sodium thiosulfate off amazon to make it up. You can also make your own colloidal silver if you want. I have been breeding with regs for the seed bunker but fems for growing my favorite phenotypes.

i just purchased my colloidal silver off amazon from a seller with lots of high reviews on it so I was hoping they were accurate with their ppm labeling. Maybe my pheno is just a little receptive to it. Iโ€™ll obviously keep trying and hopefully I have some pollen sacs in another week or so.

Looks like Iโ€™m finally getting some pollen sacs and I am so excited! Now should I stop spraying the colloidal silver or keep spraying a few days?

Right on, I have a bottle of 1000ppm on hand and im going to dilute it down and give this a try so i can hang onto a couple strains. Keep us up to date with your progress. well done. ๐Ÿ™ โœŒ ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

Iโ€™m actually starting to wonder if those are pollen sacs or if theyโ€™re just little pre buds forming. Anyone have a good eye for this?

So Iโ€™ve been spraying her with the colloidal silver 2-3 times a day for a month and still donโ€™t see any signs of male parts. Iโ€™m about to give up on her and toss her out

Keep trying. From what I've read, you start spraying just before the plant preflower. By the time it has white hairs, it should have pollen. ๐Ÿ‘

Hope your colloidal silver was legit...

I did start pre-flower with it. The silver I bought had good reviews but who knows. She not only has white hairs but has fully growing buds all over her and I still donโ€™t see any signs of male sex parts. Although I donโ€™t have a trained eye either but still I think I could spot one

i tested 10 ppm up to 110ppm i found anywhere above 30-40ppm is the sweet spot. With CS you want to spray daily both morning and evening before lights out. its dries out fast and you need it hit them during that period between lights out and all night to block the ethylene. I also make my OWN STS. I have like a gallon mixed up im going to have to dump. You should start seeing signs of it right away. In that you will see it stunted then visibly drop some nanners. From the research ive found the only time they wont respond to CS is if the conditions arent right in your grow space. i.e spraying it on and it drying right away. It does take the longest with CS but it seems to give the most viable pollen. I also did not like the Ga3 for this purpose. CS seems to work great just takes a bit of it.

i only started spraying 1 day before i flipped into flower and everyone i reverted to males was successful. I think your odds of success increase doing it slightly before flower. Might decrease the time it takes develop(not sure its untested by myself). Then you want it to be about 2-3 weeks difference for best x-pollination. before putting your fems in flower and throwing male in. Will give you that time to really let the beans mature.

edit: in my notes i just went over for my CS testing. I found 50-60ppm had the best effect with least amount of toxicity displayed. over 60 you could start to see a larger degree of damage to the plant from the CS residue. Where it looks like you dumped Nitrogen droplets all over the leaves vs one or two specs burnt. ***requires more genetic variation for confirmation. So could fall into the fluke category of too small a sample group to be certain.

this is what i found on the web

How to Feminize Seeds | How to use STS

STS is used by spraying it on your plants leaves, making sure that itโ€™s entirely covered and dripping. We recommend taking the plant away from your growing area before beginning the process, or the mixture might end up getting on your other plants too. Youโ€™ll need to begin applying it 4 or 5 days after flipping the lights, right before your lights go off. This allows you to spray the plant without worrying about the light burning your plants. After 10 days, you need to respray your plants, using the same process, covering the plant in the mixture and letting it soak in in the dark.
