Nasty weather for the next few days so I added a few more inches of manure on and then about 4 inches of raked up leaves. I watered with some silica...now I wait.
Very Nice!!
i wondered how yours were looking down there below the line ;) I need to link up with UP seeds co and see what i can get for some shorter flowering. 400 miles south they worked, here not so much. indoor ones are crushing it. I also think that Pythium blight shocked em going into flower. but the Banrot was successful. of stopping damp off and the blight.

I wish mine were as swollen as those. but i'm not mad at my plants either way cause they have that nice just super dense cold grown nugs that i love. I can leave em like that for a minute under plastic though and have a bunch of heaters + poo i can throw at it. I wanted to see comparing them to some other strains of locals that are dying quick how mine would do going under plastic much later. we also got frost 2 weeks early of the original prediction window. So its been kind of a crap shoot.

That one and my bag seed is the farthest along
The rest of them range in size but on average around the size of yours. This weather has been just awful. It was great in summer and now just shit. Can only cross our fingers and hope for the best. Have 3 days of frost starting tonight

What are some good options to protect from frost? I was going to drape some painters plastic over my stakes would that be enough? Agreee with summer was awesome, but now I feel like I'm limping to the finish line, probably have another 2 weeks left before she gets chopped

I mean sure you can drape things over but you dont want anything touching the buds. Even with covering them tho they get damage... it is what it is unless you have a great greenhouse with heaters.
I find the very best thing a person can do is to keep the roots safe. If they freeze its game over. Another reason I use silica is it does help prevent frost damage.
Keep those roots watered and covered.

I'm in the lower peninsula - thankfully no freeze coming here - I feel for you guys up there! I have all milky trichomes, most of the pistils are brown. I've had a few branches snap off - leaving big holes on my main branches - so I know I will have to harvest sooner than later. Will be in lower 60's next week. Trying to hold out until I get a little more amber - and praying the evil rot doesn't set in. Thinking of washing my buds to get rid of the aphids - when I harvest - has anyone done that? Is it bad to smoke a few spider mites and aphids? Probably not...🤔

I always wash my buds. 1 cup peroxide to 5 gallons of water. Gets off the bugs and dirt and pollen etc ... such clean tasting smoke

In southeast MI made the mistake of planting a stativa so still going to be a couple weeks for that one hopefully I don't have to pull it too early. But my other one is almost ready to come down all milky just waiting on a little more Amber as well

Just saw that there is a frost warning tonight for my area - southeast Michigan - outside of Detroit. So I am going to attempt to put frost blanket over my giant tree....I don't know how I will manage to throw the blanket over the top as I am only 5 ft tall and the tree is at least 14 feet tall...clearly...I did not plan well in the topping and pruning stages of my grow. Fingers crossed.
