As you can see I’ve got my top growth canoeing and uniformly yellowing. I’m using an HLG 600Rspec at 300W at 20” above the plants. I know they’re also clawing down, that was a overwatering issues because I buried the rock wool too deep but the canoeing and yellowing has happened the last few days. My Humidity stays around 48%, temps stay between 75-81 on the leaf, haven’t fed them yet bc the soil is new and didn’t want to burn. I’m pretty new, this is only round 3 so if any additional info is needed I’ll stay checking on the thread and comments, thank you!

How close is the light plus can't tell from the picture but some of those look kind of dried out how are you watering them and what's pH??

another suspect would be roots damage, with the curling upwards of the leaves. if the conditions are corrected, then they would recover quickly.

Light was 20” at 300W, soil ph stays around 6.7 and I’m hand watering them if that’s what you’re asking, sorry not sure what you mean by “how”

Yeah definitely way to much light. Back that thing off.

Can try light meter by my mobile tools dev

Set about 10-15k lis for thier size.

The leaves will not get better but new growth should be good
Ok, I’ve backed it off and turned the intensity down a bit, thank you!

What I meant was it looks like you're watering just around the plants in a circle and probably should be watering the whole pot

Ok, I’ll use a more traditional watering can that spreads the water more evenly. I was using sort of a pitcher for these that pours out as a stream. Thank you!

and you want runoff every few waterings, you want to get at least 25 or 30% runoff on a regular basis, that's how you get the salts out and keep it from becoming toxic in the root zone

It's not really about a watering can type, I use a pitcher that I also mix in, and I have one with a spout for technical watering🤣 LOL! its more about using enough; remember roots don't grow into dry soil, hope this helps

It really does because even if it isn’t what’s causing the canoeing, it seems I’ve been way too stingy with the water so you’ve saved me a future issue for sure! Thank you again!

remember: roots don't grow into dry soil

can you explain/elaborate on this?

you’re saying dry soil is bad? I thought dry soil encouraged roots to extend and search for water as well as these plants prefer to be under watered opposed to over watered

nail down your watering routine. water evenly the pot.

i typically water to let about 20% run off. i raise the pot off the ground, and see the runoff coming out of the pots' bottom evenly.
