I have bud curing in jars that I recently chopped probably 11 days ago now. Ive read you should burp jars everday for 1st few wks but bud seems really dry so I was wondering if I should burp every other day or so instead? When 1st drying plants before putting in jars it seemed like plants dryed way too fast so this could also be the problem. Also though buds seem really dry the stem in the biggest buds still bend even tho those buds dont seem wet in the middle.

It really depends on the humidity in the jars. If you have a lot of bud or the bud is pretty wet then you do it more often. The idea is to maintain a good humidity in the jars.

Throw a 60% Boveda in there and call it done. It sounds like you have burped for a while now so its probably getting close.

Should always dry in the range of 60-70degrees/ 45-55% rh to play it safe. You chopped 11 days ago and how long did the bud dry for?

You can add small a piece of orange peel to increase humidity, only takes a day to moisten buds. I suppose you could just blow in the jar too, or so i heard.

Im not sure of humidity in jars. I could order hygrometer from amazon. As far as jars go tho I filled to the top in 16 oz jars but didnt pack too tightly.

I chopped about 11 days ago but only dried for 4 or 5 days. Due to size of plants & conditions I dried in they seemed they were drying too quickly so after day 3 I put into brown paper bags for a day or two then threw into the jars so theyve been in jars for about 7 days maybe 8 days max. I waited til the buds with small stems snapped & the bigger ones still bent a bit then I threw in jars but they felt too dry to me & still do & biggest buds stems are still bending as I mentioned before.

Will remoistening bud ruin it? If thats my only option then ill do it cuz it does seem way too dry. Ill be the 1st to admit I dont know much but I was under the impression as the bud slowly dries this causes the smooth taste. If it is dried too fast the rewet again the redried will this cause the bud to taste funny?

You shouldn't moisten it but raising the humidity in the jars isn't a bad idea. Just be careful about mold.

Don’t burp for a couple days to see if the buds release some humidity. If they still feel dry add a quarter size piece of orange or lemon peel for 24 hours.

Should I just place the peel in the jar with buds or put the buds in a bag with peel? Just didnt know if would distribute evenly in jar.
