First bike?
If I may... These things can be picked up for a song.
Yep. Rode dirtbikes a little as a kid and then my buddy's cb650 for a good six months while he was in Mexico for way longer than he told me he'd be not contributing to rent ๐Ÿ˜’... never had a garage, so... wasn't practical until now.
I have looked at those Huskys... also in the consideration pool.
The old Hondas I can find for $7-800 a lot of the time and I'm pretty confident I can rebuild the carbs and that that's probably all that's wrong with them... it's very temping to the tinkering side of me... but, at the same time, I do just want to ride.
Perfect time to start looking because it's getting in the 20ยบF range and bikes are the last thing on everyone's mind and the first thing they finally want out of their garage.

That's never all that's wrong with them... But I like your style.

2005... Raw Titanium... aka Widow Maker 2.0.
That's what that green bike started as.
First, and only, crash on the street was that bike... Literally, the day I bought it and brought it home.
It became my first track, and eventually race bike. That pic is my second track day... The session after my first time crashing it on the track.๐Ÿ˜‚
Have been focusing my competitive energy at cattle sorting, penning, and cutting the last few years... Mrs. Goodman is more into it... And racing really began to feel like a selfish activity. Puts a lot of stress on those that love you.

Glad your friend ended up okay... For the most part.
I have GoPro videos of 200mph on mountain roads... Some down in those Redwoods you speak of.๐Ÿคช

Yea man those Gen 5 zx10's were a very analog drive. Not like the fancy computer assisted stuff today. You roll on too early in the wrong corner on that bike and it'll kill you for your trouble.

I did a little heeling as a younger guy in TX but I wasn't much to talk about. My dad set some records rodeoing in NV as a kid though, he was pretty hot shit. I think he was strictly calf and team roping though. Not much experience with the sorting myself

Alright, alright.

You might have swayed me on that Svartpilen 401 there, bud. Most of the huskys I saw when I was looking before all had that dualsport thing going on, which... shmeh.
That one's got the looks and the specs.. and a seriously approachable price tag... good looks.

Yep... Wicked little litres.
That cbr is/was the same (analog)... But way more settled (chassis) than the Kawi.

I suck at the cowboy thing... But am having fun.
Been told on several occasions I should've rode broncs... I think about half have actually been compliments. ๐Ÿ˜‚

I think they look pretty sweet... And I've seen low mileage one's, here, for like $3k.

These handsome young men, however, are still just sitting on death row.

Def strapped in to see how your Skunk 1's go. I was torn between ordering those or the Holy Grail Kush and didn't have the fun money for both. If you find an exceptional keeper from those beans and I the same I would def love to talk clone trading!

LMAO!
C'mon, Dude... Kidding.
I get a good rks, it is being shared freely.
Fwiw...Todd described the RKS he has as really more afghani than anything and not super potent in the way Skunk 1 is.

But he also describes this Skunk 1 as having more acrid than fruity flavors, which is opposite to the way most skunk got bred.

So idk what counts as "real" RKS and i think the flavor profile has gotten hyped a lot in home grow circles so that idk what to trust lol.

That said, i never tried it back in the day and wouldn't know the real thing compared to others here so I'm just kind of feeling around mostly blind for cool stuff and taking notes to make sense of never. ๐Ÿ™ƒ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿค ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘ป

true original skink was a big sativa hybrid. I bought right from a farm in the 80โ€™s. The plants were 12 feet tall and mostly identical in a field. They reeked of rotting flowers more than a dead skunk exactly. They could make your eyes tear and throat close up from the thick smoke stench. One joint put 5 experienced adult smokers way out for hours. The giggling could be insane!

later in the 90โ€™s there was cheese and rks and the rest of the skunk hybrids. All of them leaned toward afgan. And according to one of my best friends the colorado mountain indoor grown skunk 6 is still around sometimes. If bag seeds are found i will get some. It is a stabalized rks. We bought regularly through early 2000โ€™s.

as usual everyone is chasing hype created by breeders who have โ€œdreamsโ€.

Yeah... preach bro. Seriously. I just culled 5 plants out of flower from a couple "breeders" with a billion strains each. Standing next to HSC, Hazeman, and Mark/Strainly gear? Looks to me like a 3 year old finger painted in the gene pool and ended up with a pig in a prom dress. Garbage.

useful seeds are the only โ€œchuckerโ€ seeds i have now and as i expected each plant has been quite different. But all have been acceptable. Obviously made from elite cuts but not bred further.

one chocolate diesel (gone from root aphids) was just like the original. But i cant rely on the seeds for production at all. I expect HSC seeds to be much more reliable that way.

Yea , for sure my skunk # 1 were mostly sativa , I didn't really see indica / afghan
Also I really can't stand " the cheese " which is now considered a skunk offshoot ....
So if you get chees phenos , I might be dissapointed
