I seen some video on YouTube where these guys were hyping up this heavy defoliation technique. These girls have bounced back pretty well after everything I’ve put them through so far. I hope they keep it up.

thoughts and experiences with this technique?

I wanna watch. My thought is each plant should have made at least 6-7oz. Lets see what you get now. gl

Yo so I gave no idea with a yield you said easy 6-7 if he didn't trim so im a week away from forcing my girls to flower. What you think I'm looking at 2 1 gallon pots from my own breeding of seed from a hermed out plants on first go than a 5 gallon and 2 3 gallons.

Nice set up. Do you plan to use a SCROG netting? Some of those branches look like they might need support if they grow desirable size nugs.

Update on the heavy Defoliation. This is day 14 of flower. Today I gave them thier first bloom/ripening formula (first two feeds of flower were transition formula). I would say they are doing well considering what they have recently been through. They certainly were stressed from that heavy defoliation and spent some time with little growth. I do think they would have been further along the flowering process if I practiced a more traditional defoliation technique.

Notice the one picture where I have 2 bud sites very close together. This is on top of my thickest branch, where I am hoping to yield my gerthiest nug! Upon light cycle transition (from 18/6 to 12/12), this branch split into two on its own. My concern is these sites will produce 2 large nugs that will be in contact with eachother rendering susceptibility to bud rot.

Is this a rational worry?

Dont worry bout the split bud. It happens. You can kinda bend them apart as they grow.

I thought it was 4x4 then I looked back at your other pics. anything over 8 is a success imo. 16 is a home run. I forget what the schwazzing guy claims. I'm here to watch

Wow you went to town on them, i slowly defoliate in flower not all at once.

So this is my number 1 lady in the tent. She germinated the most aggressively and has maintained the most girth. However, some of her smaller branches never caught up to canopy height. Im looking for advice in what to do about these little branches beneath the devoloped canopy. I aware of three options.

1. Do nothing 🤷‍♂️
2. Defoliate the central growth allowing light penetrate the canopy
3. Romove smaller branches and let the plant focus energy on the thick girthinators.
