I seen some video on YouTube where these guys were hyping up this heavy defoliation technique. These girls have bounced back pretty well after everything I’ve put them through so far. I hope they keep it up.

thoughts and experiences with this technique?
Yes, that’s the way to go! Strip them bitches! I wait till about day 14 to strip and then again about day 35-40 depending on how bushy they get. Stripping and lollipopping forces the plants to focus all energy on the tops and you get massive nugs that are a lot easier to trim and results in higher yields. I believe you are referring to the “one node” method by the jungle boys. I personally only strip anything below the top 15 inches.

here’s a before and about one week after heavy deleafing.

Thank you!
it feels good to hear some positive reviews 🙂
I will continue to remove small growth with little potential.

Do you have close up pictures of your before and after defoliation?
Im still not sure what to do with some small “Y” sections on my plants.

Here we are day 18 of flower ( first week my dehumidifier light may have been disturbing the “night” period). They are comming back strong like I knew my ladies would. Currently just having perplexing thought about some side shoots/suckers.

I hope you enjoy the photos.

Much Love

So you did the heavy defoliation on day 6 and now on day 18 they only grew a few inches taller in peak stretch? Do you think maybe you stunted their growth?

I believe so. However this is my first grow, therefore I have little to compare. They are still growing taller every day.

Update on my ladies that have been stripped nearly to the stems! They are looking all very healthy. Maybe a slight Nitrogen toxicity. But im super happy with how they are looking.

Im planning on going out of town for a week! 😶
I do not want to put any responsibility of these plants on anyone’s else’s hands. These are my plants, and I am responsible. I will be leaving tomorrow, 2 days after a feeding. And returning 7 days later. 7 days between feedings is within average range. But, I think 9 days is enterting a dangerous territory, especially with their current aggressive growth.

My current plan is to feed each plant about 1 litre of low strength feed before I embark. This is also because I am limited in time.

I think all should be fine. Im always open to advice and opinions.

enjoy the pictures and video.
Much Love,
Andy Boi.

Would you say that having a second premature watering is less dangerous than a couple days left dry?
I would say so. My qustion is why are they growing slow and taking 7- 9 days to dry between watering? That seems like way too long even for 5 gallon pots. Are they getting enough light?

Sf 2000 on full power. Currently 15” from top of canopy. I belive my soil mix is more dense than typical. Contains Soil veggie mix, coco coir, lots of worm castings, vermiculite and perlite. They are also in the midst of a nitrogen toxicity.
