“Milson Thinks”. Is this show free with Amazon Prime?
It's being distributed via an innovative blockchain-inspired tech but they are working through some kinks so you only get fragments here and there like seeing your reflection in a shard of a window you've just been thrown through, the last image you see before you lose consciousness in anticipation of impact with the ground.

Ya know.

Hoo boy I'm toasty!!! 🙃😂😆🤣

Refreshing their fertilizer in a few days. I also gave them a bit of bloom today as an experiment. Hoping to see flower bloom go ☀️ but idk

Right now, the thing that is sticking out to me most about the girls is how much I am loving the girl who was looking so unwell earlier. She smells very peppery and I think she is going to frost pretty nicely. Now that I know what she likes, I am hopeful it will be easier to keep her happy.

I am going to refresh their nutes watering after next, so probably around the weekend. Might skip the plain water depending on what I am seeing.

As I am dancing between strain combinations in my head after every tent visit (and there are multiple tents!), I realize I am implicitly doing something in my head I have not spelled out.

My primary focus when thinking about strains to cross is hybrid vigor. I want strains as far apart from each other in genetics as I can get. Ideally, minimal overlap. The reason for this is chasing the unicorns one can find with hybrid vigor. When I think of all the "accidental pollinations" that ended up being huge success, they are from plants with radically different genetics. You don't hear about an accidental pollination between a Skunk and a Super Skunk that lit the world on fire, for instance.

Problem with a lot of genetics is it's really hard to know what they are, exactly. Thinking Chemdog, Cookies, OG Kush, etc. This is why I am leaning more toward stuff I know what it is, i.e. Ace gear, Widow, Authentic Genetics gear, etc.

So, my philosophy is to use stuff that I am pretty sure I know what it is OR use stuff that I am pretty sure I know what it is combined with unknown lineage but known awesomeness "new school" stuff. If I start crossing "new school" stuff too much then I just get into a place where I do not know what I am even looking at anymore.

We will see how it goes, but that is my basic thought. And again, it is for chasing hybrid vigor, which I am hopeful will lead to cool results.

This is the best explanation I have found for hybrid vigor.

The referenced Table 4.2

Here "positive" and "negative" alleles literally refer to good or bad, more or less. At least to my understanding. Het and hom refer to heterozygous and homozygous. I.e. are they Aa (het) or AA/aa (hom).

Wow your boys look super healthy. Nice work. I cant believe you just move them around the house at will. I would be terrified to seed up my flower room.

I like the first two males. The tall hazey guy and the widow both look to be the shit!

Thanks! Loving this nutrient stack.

The girls are in a separate room in a tent with a vented intake. I won't visit them again for another day or so.

I spray aerosol all around the entire area after handling them, strip down and out those clothes in the wash, then shower.

I will likely still get seeds but so long as it's not too bad i don't particularly care. Personal use!

moisture will disable pollen easily anyway. And i wouldnt care if it was just for me either i guess.

Also yeah, re: Walter and Dark Horse Widow......

DH Widow looks pretty freaking great to me tbh. He has in general shown awesome vigor throughout. Originally I thought it would be him all the way.

But Walter smells like treadmarks on the highway. That burnt rubber smell....it is intriguing.

I am super enjoying growing these plants now that I understand what they like better. I honestly think I might take Hal (the first haze) and my one super smelly haze and just grow haze for a while. Not out of the question if I really like her....because right now she is pushing out some amazing smell. Hardcore peppery/spicy.

Maybe try her with Hal and whichever Widow I like and see what those are like? I mean that is basically what shantibaba does, just with much higher numbers and doubtlessly better selection than me. But that combo has obvious potential.

Of course it WOULD be the finicky grower. @MIMedGrower mentioned this has happened to him too.

The picky plants being the smelly, good ones.

Oh i do think that. Its nature. Give and take.

To further this i think clone only plants are mostly hype. I think they are the cuts that are easier and shorter time to grow rather than the best cut. Because seed plants finished properly show better phenos all the time than the popular hyped up one. But no one will want a 12 week flowering clone. No money in that.

Cant be in a hurry with plants. Again with the give and take. With one benefit we lose another.

I honestly have no idea how the hype around clone only strains works as i have never been a part of it.

I do think that "stealth" strains hurt the gene pool and were an inevitable response to prohibition. They weren't drinking much fine whiskey in the late 20s either i don't think....
