Hey I am having quite an infestation of fungus gnats and I also found out digging a little my soil a lot of what I presume to be bulb mites. Can these second cause a lot of trouble. I did applied hypoapsis miles and I applied today some gaeolaelaps gillespiei two kind of predatory mites and predatory nematodes for the gnats. I is my first cycle of what I want to by a no till living soil . Looking forward to keep this soil il my 2 20 gallon pots . Does someone has any suggestion ? I bought neem oil to .do you think neem oil could affect my predatory mites ?

Fungus gnat larvae will feed on the roots -- get some yellow sticky traps to catch the fliers. That'll knock em down pretty good before things get out of hand.

IIRC bulb mites aren't terribly bad. You can treat with DE (diatomaceous earth), powder up the base of the stalks real good and that'll take care of that.

Neem oil will impact your predatory mites. Don't use it as a soil drench, only foliar. I'd recommend spinosad over neem though, or as part of an IPM regiment.

Thanks will try to get diatomaceous earth for shure. What I seem to notice is that the gnats stay on my mulch and soil and don't fly around that much then don't get stick on the fly trap ( have some of those. I know I have to improve my watering but I hope it will get better

Indoors or outdoors...if indoors, I hate to say this but SCRAP EVERYTHING ...CLEAN , CLEAN AND THEN STEAM. THEY ARE UNFUCKING KILLABLE! Be absolutely certain they are bulb mites . Bulb mites are horrible because no insecticide does the job, you think you got rid of them then mid flower all your plants freeze and purple and never finish. This continues on til the population gets so large that absolutely nothing grows well, not to mention you get root rot and all sorts of issues in your medium.
