nice journal. two points you want to look into
Inked11 LI

Next time when you want to tie the branches down, Your first spot should be the main stem in the red circle on the picture and then tied to the pot.
Now you grab the opposite branch that is facing the tieing point and you tied that down. This will ensure that your main stem and the roots don't go sideways on you.

Next point, try to have better air circulation so that the leaves and branches move a bit. This will make the plant stronger. Also, your 6" fan at the bottom that is facing the pot will make the soil dry faster. The design of your pot already has enough holes for air to travel throw the soil. You also have good amount of perlite mixed with your soil. Your water penetration is already good and if the fan is blowing more air towards the pot it will make it dry quicker.

I was just watering my plant when I noticed this cool little thing!! Has anyone seen this before I never have but I’ve only ever done a few grows, but she’ll this out. Instead of having two leafs in this new set it has three leafs growing out with like a double node

So I have a quick question for you guys if anyone knows, I’m to the point to where I have all the main stems I want, so is it ok to cut new growth coming up in the nodes? Basically I’m wondering if it is bad for the plant to pluck of new branches when the start growing in the nodes I want to focus all my grow into only the 6 or 7 main branches

? Still curious about the question I asked above this comment but no rush and I also wanted to post a picture I’ve always wanted to do a mainline and kind of thought it was too late to do so with his plant but after counting all of the main stands I realize I could easily set this up as a main line so I went ahead and did minimal clipping and looking forward to seeing how the plant reacts in a few days but as of now she looks great

No worries, go ahead a snip most of the lower new growth and focus on the upper heads and say 4 to 5 nodes lower considering on future growth and veg time. Just go easy and not all at once.

Now you have spread her out she is perfect for training. Play with her.

Well done I say

Oh and by the way, I've seen the trio nodes before. Al good as it will give you an extra branch every new set of nodes now.

Thanks for the tips Broski

Topping gives you two new branches while finning gives you three. nice job on the training.

So check these two pictures out, the first picture is when I snipped off the bottom growth and tied all the branches toward the outside of the pot in a Circle pretty much leaving one branch in the middle, and then the second pic is literally only 4 hours later. I can’t believe how fast it bounced back from that. I think this new soil I’m using for this grow which I also mixed some worm castings into has resulted in some crazy good root structure

Just some pics for ya
The only think that sucks about training the branches like this is that it feels like the plant isn’t getting bigger because I keep tying each main branch down and toward the edge of the pot so it never gets any taller but after one or two more tie downs, then each top will be were I want it to be then I will allow it to grow without anymore tying down probably for another 2 weeks then it’s time to go to 12\12!!! I can’t wait, I absolutely love growing cannabis’s it’s by far the most enjoyable hobby I’ve ever had and it’s taught me a lot, mostly patients haha

Also had a question about the tie downs? So anyone here who has down mainlining or any type of similar training, when can I take the ties off? Like at some point can’t I remove the ties and the stem structure will stay in that shape? Just curious.

So I just trimmed the last of the lower fan leafs that I plan on taking off and did the last tie down, the leafs and main branches are spaced out as much as I wanted. It’s basically a circle of 6 around the outside and one single top in the middle. So I’ll let it grow in veg for another 2 weeks or so, I’ve also spotted some super early pre-flowering. Not sure how try’s this is by I’ve definitely seen people say that you should wait to switch to flower until the plant has pre-flower because that meens it’s mature enough? Not sure though but within two weeks it will definitely have preflowers all over her .

I was afraid I may have been to cough with the plant last night while doing the final tie down but I just got home from work and she seems to be perfectly healthy and loving life so all of good haha so just two more weeks of bluegrass and then off to 12/12 we go! I can’t wait

Here is a shot of my sloppy ass grow tent haha and yes there is a carbon filter up top above the lights haha I actually have one up top inside the tent pushing air into another filter outside on top of the tent. This current grow is extremely strong smelling fat more then all of my other grows. And also I know I post way too many pics ha
