you have no idea how many times i have had to defend myself for still using hid bulbs against led fan boys. I heat my living room supplementally with them and the saved propane is worth way more than the electric i would save which is really not much.

now in the summer for a few months it would save air conditioning but i would still need the ac so it has been a hard decision.

Not so hard anymore though with @sshz blowin’ out 100+ oz. whew!

It's something to think about though. I was this close >< to getting some HID fixtures for my veg tent and trying CMH in the flower

I’m more and more convinced the way to go is hps in veg and led in flowering........ I should have had my led’s at 48 inches to begin with. In all, it just means an extra week of veg which isn’t that big of deal. It’s way more important to make sure plants are healthy, rather than worry about how big they are. That will come in time. Either way, short 2 foot plants appears to be my norm now, which is fine with me if I can continue use to reach the 100 oz. threshold.

Have you made sure its nightvision light is covered? or otherwise made sure it won't give you problems re: darkness?

I have a similar model for watching my birds but haven't wanted to futz with it in the tent for the fears mentioned.

Do they come on when the power flicks off and then on? Like let's say a power outage that then comes back on before you are back at the tent to deal with things?

Sorry to be paranoid lol I am just curious since it's a software fix and I wonder how they coded it. I know mine spins around like it's possessed as it's booting up. I could definitely see it checking every light for function before running through the question of what light to have on when. OTOH they could be smart and have done it via the boot sequence so it never even comes on. If that makes sense.
