Hi everyone,

First time grower and new member. I'm late to join the party (my plants will start flowering soon🤞) but I have been watching from the shadows for some time.

I have 5 Blueberry and 2 Gelat OG grown from feminised seeds from Seedsman. Growing outdoors in pots, 60% potting mix 40% perlite. Up to this point I have only used kelp and fish emulsions, and a fortnightly drink of worm juice.

Here are some pics of one of my Blueberry girls. I don't have any from early on because I wasn't keeping a diary, but I've finally started. I think she is going well but it's my first grow, so I wouldn't know for sure.

Definitely going well! what size pot is she in and how long ago did you last transplant? It may be worth potting up before if they havent started flowering

Hi elduderito, thanks for the advice.

The pot is about 50 litres but looking at the photo it looks smaller. I last transplanted about 9 weeks ago. I suspect I need to take a trip to the garden store this week and get some big ass pots.

Thanks Skn. For all my plants I used LST first to avoid stopping growth when they were small. Once a bit bigger I used a combo of LST and super cropping to spread the canopy as wide as possible. Also topped a few of the growth tips in the last month to keep it fairly even.

My methods created a bit of a mess with the branches, but I had plenty of veg time to recover from errors so I'm pretty happy with the end result. I'll post a photo tomorrow that shows under the canopy. I think next grow I will top first and then use LST in order to keep the main stem vertical.

You have trained her well mate..i reckon make another net above her so you can widen her more and create more space between the branches + it will hold her in good steed when those branches begin to get top heavy and in the elements..but i guess theres a reason that you move her about because of thieves in your hood or another..

Thanks Madmax, done a lot of reading before I started and it's helped heaps - I can already count more than 10 mistakes that I haven't made thanks to reading posts and diaries from experienced growers. I've still made a few but nothing that has hurt too much 😁

I like the idea of a second net I think I'll give it a try over the weekend. I should be able to build the second net on a thinner frame with the existing structure. Just don't want to put too much of the plant in shade as not much light gets through the existing screen.

My main reason for needing to move them is not so much thieves as in-laws. Wife doesn't like the idea of a 'cannabis jungle' (I wish!) On display when her family visit.

that's quite the trunk! I reckon you could easily yield over 500g on this depending on the strain and climate

Well I'm a week into transitioning from grow to bloom nutes and my plants seem to have really responded. Still stretching I think but lots more pistils this week. Planning on keeping 50% grow and 50% bloom nutes for one more week before changing to bloom only. Please let me know if I'm heading off track.

My Blueberry plants are quite a bit behind the Gelat OG. Photos below from today show flowering starting but still very early. Should I consider keeping some grow nutes in the mix for longer than the planned 2 week transition? I'm currently 8 days into 50% grow and 50% bloom transition.
