What are some of you more experienced growers thoughts on these lights?
Opinions on lights for 4x4 tent grow

400w is not enough light for 25sqft. Its barely enough for a 4 x 4. Be careful- all these Chinese companies are on the same team and they all lie about performance and guarantees.

Wanted the sp4000 but $600 is a bit much if I can do the same with this light for $400.
Probably will put six plants in it.

This light is so hot you could fry an egg on the heat sink. Even with a dedicated AC unit I can't keep my room at temp. Seedlings don't seem to respond to it. Returning it.

That's what you get for $400. You can't light up a 5x5 properly with $400. Maybe if you built your own but even still, I doubt it.

Edit: Using LEDs^ I know someone's going to correct me and say "You can with hps."

Edit #2: I thought you said 5x5. For a 4x4, you could get 3 viparpsectra p2000 but that's already $600 before tax.

I use the BP3000 for my veg light and can say for veg its a great light. I replaced a 600 watt MH light and this little light keeps right up with that running half the watts. I cant attest to how it would flower as I don't use it for flower. I can say it does run pretty hot and I put a clip fan blowing right on the drivers and heat sink. Keeps it nice and cool all the time. I also don't think the BP4000 is enough light to flower a 4x4 as its only 400 watts and as said above 25watts per square foot really isn't enough.

You could always get some smaller better lights and use them until you have the money for more lights. It's not the biggest deal to have low intensity, it just means that you'll have to veg for longer time and you'll get lower yields.

No no. I wasn't hating on it. I was just saying there it is because I called it. I actually think it would be a good idea for someone who is on a low budget.

Or you could spend $200 and get 2 lbs in no time- to hold you over while you save for a led that won't make better buds but will save power.

The sinks get hot. But not fried egg hot.
