Scratching my head 🤔 opinions? Nutrient ratio

In house platinum cake.
I didn’t sift for it it’s a cut from a friend.
Week 3 veg.
4x8 tent
315 cmh roughly 2 ft from canopy.
Daytime temps 76-78
Nighttime temps 70-73
Relative humidity 55-60
I noticed tip burn in new growth and what looks like tip burn/calcium def in oldest growth. Potentially potassium def.

Apart from those obvious signs stems are weak and don’t look like they could support a gram.

Until this point I had worked plants up to 1.1-1.2 ec
1/1 ratio flora flex veg nutrients
My mix has looked like this
1 ml pro tech silica /gal
.3 ec Cali magic
Base up to 1.1-1.2
1 ml roots excel
Ph 5.6-5.9
And ran like this every watering altering roots excel every other watering.

When I noticed the tip burn and new growt a bit pale and scraggly lacking real vigor. the oldest fan leaves doing what there doing as well going a bit necrotic at tips and edges.

It’s day 3 since making some changes dropping to 1 ec and ditching the roots excel and pro tech silica.
Can’t tell yet if it’s helping.

Run of has consistently been .2-.3 ec less than my input solution so I don’t believe I have any build ups.

You can see in the photos plants look pretty dark green....

Scratching my head for sure any insight would be appreciated.

Few scenarios come to mind...

-to much nitro or calcium
- the ladies are ready for more nutes and are just asking for higher levels of base( gauging by my run off but the dark green foliage makes me nervous to up the feed)
-light burn?
-over feeding?
-I’m tripping and need to chill?
Trying to get things on the right track so I can get these ladies in my flower room and stay on schedule. I won’t do that with plants that aren’t healthy.







70/30 coco perlite
Fed 1x daily.
Roots are abundant and protruding the bottom of containers.

Plants were transplanted from 1 gal to 3 gal about 7-8 days ago...

Maybe a smidge too much N, they look good to me. The red petioles say they want more magnesium. I'd sprinkle a few tablespoons of epsom salt on top of each pot b4 watering next time.

Yes I have four strains in this tent ( only took shots of the in house platinum cake) but the other strains are showing classic mag def. thanks man I may throw a gram /gal in my feed I’m running .3 ec calimagic. Don’t want to kick that up though because of the nitro epsom may be a great alternative

Ok so for the most part they really good but i love my ladies and if youre like me, which ibsuspect you are, then you want then at peak health and any little blemish means something. Right?
Ok so it does look like they are getting a little too much N but as the purple petioles, this is important, you need to know if its genetic or not. I cant tell very well from the pics, im recovering from a welders flash but mag def looks much brighter yellow than what i saw and it moves along the perimeter of the leaf. Honestly to me it looks like it can be too much phosphorus, which is why i asked about the genetics. If the purple petioles are genetic, then it could be too much P but if the colored petioles are NOT genetic then it probably isnt too much P. In that case it may be from being watered too much, either too much volume at once and taking too long to dry in between OR theyre being watered too frequently. Either way without a luttle more info and better eyes, thats all i got for now. The look good though. Just watch the tip burn because some deficiencies/excesses take time to show and you might only be seeing damage that was already done and not new. Just watch to see if it spreads.

Edit: i just tried looking again and the tip burn on the last 4 or 5 pics is definitely NOT mag def. It looks like too much N whicj usually meand you are NOT deficient in magnesium. Magnesium is the central atom in the chlorophyll molecule, if there is not enough magnesium, it usually appears as a nitrogen def. From the pics and from what i can see i really dont think those plants are mag deficient. Too much N, but not Mg-

Ahhh shit i just noticed something. I would really resommend against putting the epsom salt directly on the soil before watering. Mix the shit into some water first. If you put it right on the soil than the first watering could be an overdose and the next several might get barely anything. For fast result do a foliar feeding and mix 1/2 gram epsom salt with 1 liter of water. Rinse them off 30 minutes after spraying. You should add the epsom salts to your res still but it is slow uptake by the roots so a foliar feeding will give them some instantly and help them until the root absorb enough. Just my opinion based on experience

Looks fine to me as it is growing on grow 1.6 ec is highest and ph 5.3 to 5.5
