if you’ve never dealt with white powdery mildew than your best option is to kill everything, clean up every crook and craney as it can live on a piece of tiny dead plant material for over a year in any conditions, than boom it’s back!
it’s EVIL! it will stop your plants from growing as it gets worse and buds are tiny, just not worth it as all you doing is giving the mildew more time to find more spots to hide for later..
it will generally show up when humidity levels jump either way.
you’ll have to take apart everything clean everything fans, humidifier, all equipment with a 5-10% mix of hydrogen peroxide let it sit for at least 5-10 minutes before wiping up, than i’d wipe everything with isopropyl.
i’d do the above twice before growing again, and it doesn’t mean it’s gone.
how did you get it?

I hope you continue to update this thread, you are about 3 weeks ahead of me. Please feel free to check out my Thread in this forum too, the "Very First Grow, 3x3 Tent...."

I definitely would have transplanted them sooner. My plants are just 9 days old today (9 days from Germination) and I plan to put into into their final homes, 5-gallon pots of FFOF, on Sunday. I think they will be ready.

Please make sure to share pics at least once a week with us!

Sorry I’ve been mia but yes i am 👀 should i not?
Yeah only RO or distilled.. if you use tap it will make a white powder coating on plants and equipment that can look like PM. It's the minerals in the tap water.

Damn this is disheartening to hear. Tbh i don’t know how it happened my humidity at it’s highest was 38%. When i was growing then as seedlings at my home the humidity was higher! Then i put them in the tent and boom it happened.

Oh really so it’s not powdery mildew? Would that also explain why my carbon vent cover has turned from black to grey 😂?

I will have to make the switch too. I was running regular tap water and I was getting that white powder crap on my tent that you are talking about.

Luckily I caught it early and sanitized the walls and floor of my tent today while I had my plants out for the Transplant.

I will need to figure out a cost effective and convenient way to get RO or distilled water for my Humidifier. Then I can run it next to my plants without worry, correct? I wont have to worry about the "mist/fog" getting on the plants as long as the water is distilled or RO? cause naturally if the Humidifier is in there adding moisture to the air, then some will end up on the plants and in the medium.

Yeah with RO or distilled you won't get that powder buildup. It's not harmful to the plants but can sure reduce the life of carbon filters and fans etc. Often it's confused as PM because it looks so similar.

I will need to look into some type of home water filtration system or something. That will likely be the easiest thing. Rather than buying and storing tons of distilled water.

i’m thinking that is not calcium deposit..
it’s wpm..
Yeah I would agree. I should have looked at the pics closer... if it was more uniform then I would say likely mineral deposits. But the pics you just posted looks patchy like PM.

Perfect example of looking thoroughly before posting... my bad and proves what I always say... I make mistakes and not always right.

Good call @GNick55 that's what makes this site great. The right answers almost always come out in the end.
