What AC/Dehumid do yall use?

It gets upto 85c in my grow room in the summer or hotter and humidity around 40-50. I want to be able to control both, looking for good/inexpensive options. looking to stay under $500 for BOTH units... I need atleast 8000BTU and 40pints on the dehumid.

Window Ac not digital and Toshiba 70 pint with auto restart so I can run both on controllers.

If no window then I put a drip pan under the ac with a drain hose and put mine in the door so no holes in the wall. If it runs alot it will heat the room that the hot side is on quite a bit. Adding a dehumidifier will make the AC run more but both pull water. Not a big deal as my basement is always cool from the house ac.

I was pushing 98 degrees in the 720w led 4x4 flower Chamber. With the flap open and ac on 74 fahrenheit things smooth out. Next up for me is a more powerful extractor fan. That one is very important.

What is commercially available here is not what is commercially available in your country so I cant recommend anything.

Just watch out for how much amps the ac requires. The first ac i got were capable of running 13000 btu. It also demanded a 16 amps wire. Which i did not have. Those things are good to be vary about. Especially if you live in a older house

A kandi pro water cooler on intake and fill with icey water depends on size 300 mm is around 350 bucks

I use a 5000 BTU analog control window unit for a 10'x10' room. It's my second one in 10 years and the price range has usually been around $99-$120 for these basic no frill units.
Double boarded up my window, inside and outside. Also painted the outer board black with a dark screen over everything so it looks like a tinted window unless you're up close next to it. Cut a hole in the boards and mounted the AC in there.
I prefer analog control on the AC so I can set it to high or low with power always on. But temp & power is controlled by a Spartan Series day/night thermostat controller. Set the desired temp on the controller and it will turn on the AC as needed. The controller is also analog but quite accurate and can cost anywhere from $60-$100 depending on the shop.
My cooling being all analog is not fancy or techy at all but it's a very reliable workhorse type set up. But it is getting harder and harder to find analog AC's these days as most have some sort of digital control. There's one on Amazon for $166 but I'd look to walmart, HD, Lowes, for something cheaper if they have it

my issue is if i run analog i have to take screen out and all my vents will have no protection from bugs. why i need a portable unit.

Currently vented room, no a/c, just a couple of portable 50 pint/day dehueys; whatever had a decent rating at Home Depot, one's a Frigidaire. Getting quotes on an ultra low ambient temperature mini split. If i can find the funds for that, next purchase would be a Quest Dual 105; rather pay more up front and save on operational costs over the lifetime of the unit.

Why use an analog unit instead of digital? What is the benefit?

If you have it on a timer or controller that kills power then supplies power it will come back on if it's analog, digital might require a human to push a button on the unit.

IF you decide to get a window or wall a unit remove the front cover to find the temperature probe. Cut the wires and splice an extension so it can hang at the top of your plants. It will save you a SHiT TON of stress. Also your ac is a dehumidifier in itself while cooling. But this only really helps with lights on or with high outside temp.

Portable units will sick the air out of your space causing the outside to stiiiiink. Wall/window units are mostly sealed. There is only a vent for fresh air (that can be closed or blocked off) as long as you seal around it you don't really have to worry about bugs

36k but mini split multi zone

Quest 225 dehumidifier

Pro and cons fie the mini split. If I had a choice at the time I would change it to a 5 and do some ductwork

They make inline filters now that you can exhaust portable a/c's through. I use a portable unit exhausted into a 6' inline filter theh pushed out the wall no smell at all
