After 10 weeks and 1 day, I noticed 3 of my ladies were showing bananas. No big deal, I'm only a week from harvest. Then, I looked more carefully. On plant number 8, the pollen has already burst. So, on day 71, I pulled the 3 plants in question out of the tent for some extended dark time. While chopping them up, I had to use my 2x2x5 tent as a dry tent. While chopping them, my neighbor about 50 yards away who does NOT know anything about my grow sent me a text saying there was a very "fresh" smell coming from my direction. Considering my other neighbor is in his 90's, I was the only other option. WOW!! My grow in completely underground and past plants had gone undetected. However, I've never chopped outside of a tent. Either way, he was totally cool and offered to take my trim and lower fluff buds, then he could do some extractions. Then he pulled out a ball of BHO he recently made and a gallon size jar of bud that he still had to process. Apparently, I've had BHO producer living next door. I'm amazed I never noticed before. I knew he smoked, but that's all. He said he knew something was going on at my place because I'm constantly carrying gallons of water to my basement and he had seen me using 64oz jars--something peeps who buy 1/8's and 1/4's dont do. So, my ladies forced me to finally meet my neighbor I've only waved to in passing, even though we have both lived here for over 10 years. At least we know to look out for each other's place.

I completely agree and it is kinda frustrating finding good info on roots organics soils and dry ferts. My next grow is either gonna be lush or the strawberry fields as I really like there products. Even their liquid cal mag is different then others. As most are calcium carbonate and magnesium nitrate, not roots. There cal mag is actually organic from kieserite and gypsum..
When I need a little extra bump above the amount in the organics, I like to have my Ca and Mg separately.
Ca is sold as "root rot stopper" and Mg as epsom salt
I like the control of applying them separately and if needed as a topical spray to give a quicker recovery than a top dressing may offer.

Thank You, brother!!! I'm starting to think it's gonna be great as well, assuming the small amount of pollen that did get out doesnt have time to actually form seems. It's not too bad for my 1st, 100% solo, indoor grow. The yield from 3 I already chopped is looking fairly large and since I have someone local who appears to know his craft, I believe this is going to be a kind summer. Shh, just booked a trip to the Island of Marley hoping to gather some local genetics there to grow and possibly cross with something. In other words, go hunting for seeds to grow, force to herm, then use their pollen for seed creation.

Day 76: 645am lights out
Last night I reduced the light intensity by removing all the lights except the Mars hydro TS3000 and I reduced the it to its lowest setting plus I reduced the light time to 11 hours. I have the a/c unit air full blast, but it’s so hot here today that even underground and w/o light heat, it’s still 72 degrees. I’d prefer 55. Either way, worlds, meet my ladies at 60x.

Here is a video of the bananas I found. The flowers did release pollen, but I don’t think the seeds will have time to develop.

oh shit! i actually had that happen on one of my autos- banana hammock from ethos. fitting obviously 😆 there weren't too many of them, but they were definitely there and released pollen when i crushed them. they showed up super late in the grow though and thankfully didn't hurt the others in the tent

It takes longer than a couple of weeks for seeds to fully form. So as long as you are a couple of weeks from harvest you’re good. Right now I have a funky no men in no man’s land going into 2001 from dec 2019. Life is good

All 8 ladies are now chopped and in some stage of processing: drying, curing or prep for edibles.

I’m gonna make some cooking oil too. I have to work carefully. When I bake the plant to activate the THC, I have to do it late night, 11pm and later, plus I light the charcoal grill and cook up a late supper. For this one, a chicken breast and a slab of ham. That way less people are outside to notice the smell and if a car passes by with windows down, hopefully the grill covers the other up.
I’m also thinking about buying an inkbird ITC-106VH, a couple of 6’x6’ Al plates and “tap” into my neighbors machine shop for some basic tap/dye and drill-based machining on the plates to accommodate the inkbird’s wires. I’ll let you see where I’m going with this—hint, it will eventually require me to rob my car if its jack.

Here is the product from the first 3 ladies I chopped 10 days ago. To cure, it took 3 gallon size mason jars to accommodate, however I should use 4. They are a little too full, more arriving soon. There was also a bag of trim weighing well over a 1/4lb that was processed into 3 lbs of butter.

I meant 6” x 6”. 6’ would just be ridiculous.
