Messed up first grow, now stretching like crazy!!

One day I drank a few beers and planted some bag seeds. Wanted to get my first grow going so that I can start figuring things out, get my feet wet. I started with black gold soil in solo cups under a 100watt CFL and water at 6.3-6.7PH. They started off okay until I made the mistake of overwatering. Some died off, some made it. I transplanted into 1 gallon with fox farms ocean forest soil and they started doing better. By then I was using a Viparspectra XS1500 at recommended distance in a 32”x60” tent.

Then I started feeding them nutes and they stopped growing once again. I came to the conclusion that they had nutrient burn and my light was way too close. I fixed my problems and threw them into 3 gallon pots (first pics), waited a cppl days then threw them on 12/12. After getting rid of 4 males I was left with 2 females. One plant I had topped and took one leaf off. The other I let grow naturally. They were only maybe 8”-10” tall when I switched from 18/6 to 12/12. Today, 17 days into flower, this is what I have. Big ol stretchy bastards under 2 XS1500s.

Temps stay around 77-83 degrees and 40% humidity. They’re starting to stink so my carbon filter gets here tomorrow. Reading online I expected 2x-3x growth in height, not 5x-6x only 17 days into flower. It’s almost like they’re catching up for the lack of growing they did during their brutal vegetative period.

Either way. Hoping for some smokable buds at the end of all of this.

Can be a few reasons mate,
To hot
Light to far away ,
light to weak
A big Day and night temp difference in first 2-3 weeks of flower,

You could Google low stress training
and day and night diff

You could very gently lean them stems over to the side and support the stems with something like string or they will fall when bud gets bigger

I tend to train them lower once they starting growing in veg and keep training 3 weeks into flower then let them climb the rest. I don't have the tallest tent so it's kind of a necessity but it's worked well for me. Here is an example. I just think indoor grows some training is a must.

Check out scrog technique. This is what I am attempting. This way all the buds stay relatively level and receive maximum intensity.

my first indoor grow and I’m scrogging as well. I want to get a 3x3 and try a one plant scrog in that but I’m loving my 2x8 closet build.

My tent is 28"x28" in an outside shed. I'm growing Ethos Roze Cookies(an Xmas drop). I use two Hyperlight 150w but only using 200w for flower(plenty bright at 200w). You have a nice setup.

She's about 20" tall and as wide as the tent. 30 day veg exactly. My first photo grow. I grew a few autos before this.

I highly recommend lst at a minimum to maximize yeild. Scrog is great cuz you can tuck them under the net or tie a branch to them.

What strain is this? I think you still have a bit to go(at least for that fattie). Are you checking trics? I try to wait until there is some amber.

I started training my plants to stay short as well. It's amazing what a little training will do. This is my red runtz before and after lst. About 9 days apart.

They bush like crazy with lst. It's crazy. What day is this. Mine typically go nuts around day 19 to 21. I don't take any fan leaves off until later until it's developed a solid canopy and crowding itself.

It is actually a clone believe it or not. I received it from a friend on 5/24 it wasn't very big when I got it. All I did was tie her down and as she grew up kept tieing the ends down. I'm trying to get her to go all the way around the pot lol. Everything i tie her down a new main bud site pops up.

She already is exploding lol I also started to water from the bottom and since then she started growing even crazier.

Ya. Her roots are growing then. Are you doing organic? Some ppl get lock out issues when bottom watering and some don't so keep eye out for any weirdness.

No issues yet. I'm not planning on watering from bottom everytime. Gonna split it up.
