Scrogging too late, cut a lot off plants

Hello, I just installed my scrog net, I had to take quite a bit off my plants, is that ok? Some of my plants are larger than others as well. I feel like I just butchered them… 😭

Next ones you do top them when they are fairly small. You won't have to hack them down to size as much. They are really tough plants and will totally recover from the chopping you gave them.
 
I didn’t intend to cut so much off but they were so unruly!

My 1st scrOG was installed late as well.,
but they were all topped & LST'd , so I think I might have made up for lost time

Next ones you do top them when they are fairly small. You won't have to hack them down to size as much. They are really tough plants and will totally recover from the chopping you gave them.
Hopefully my boyfriend will figure that out, he’s mad as all hell at the trim I gave them.
