This sounds very wrong, but we do it and it helps.
If you are in fabric pots, feel the sides. Are there empty spots in there?
We had a plant that stayed alive, but just would not grow.
So my wife massaged the side of the pot and started adding soil.
When she massaged it, the entire plant dropped 2 inches in the pot. Soil too.
She wound up have to add quite a bit of soil to make up for what was missing.
Now the plant is growing again.

Lol no its in a hard plastic pot. If I could massage it i would. Ill try just about anything to get it normal. This could only happen to me with the luck I have.

Get a drill and start punching holes every inch in the pot all the way around and halfway up.
Roots need air just as much as we do. Plants breathe through their roots and leaves.

I thought about doing that. Now I have to since you said it too lol.
You could also benefit from yucca extract. Its a wetting agent and has other benefits. I use yucca powder and add it to my waterings in soiless promix or coco.
Im definitely going to look into this! Thank you.

Its pretty cheap and last a long time. And the other benefits are a plus.
