Hope Im doing ok at this. This is my first outdoor grow since 1998. I'm shocked it's working out so far. They might look a little heat stressed as its 98 out for the last couple days. They got a little rain last night. Hopefully that should keep them happy today. Heya BTH 420 your gals are looking good! Just wondering when you drilled you holes in your 5 gallon pails did you drill any into the sides as well? I drill some about 1 inch to 1.5 inches with a 3/4 in bit so I can stick my finger inside to check to see how wet they are in the bottoms of your pots and possibly any dry spots your finger is the best moisture meter and it’s free! I’ve included a couple of pics of my gals and how I keep their roots cool in this heat wave. Just love seeing everyone’s outdoor gals here y’all keep rockin on the pics please!!!’n thank you!!!

I placed 4 litre water can and 5 gallon jug in my garden for scale. I'm glad I decided to try growing pot this summer 🤔

Theres 90 days of vegetative growing remaining. Then we should start to notice young flower arrangements popping up everywhere. Growing Marijuana is so much fun thankyou!

I wouldn't know how to explain my current method of imaging, only to say it sucks, and royally. Forgive me if I repeated one. Im also a bit toppy turvy which isn't helping any of my dilemma.

no worries, background junk around my pad is more common than the plants anyways. Going good over there by the looks, good work you farmer.

Plants continuously evolve some genetics are sick man. I give the genetics here 99.9% of the cred in my freak full of gardens. Gardens they are, Im blown away again.

Plus the morning after good rains and the sun reapears. It looks like someone jacked em full of a steroid plant equivalent. I never get tired of loving this sh!t. My camera (total pofs) is another story.

It is getting a tad bit cramped, that wasnt quite as anticipated for a couple few reasons. But thats OK, I still love that shit. I love it long time no five dollar!

the fence boards are 6 ft high give or take some higher/ lower ground. idiots were hired to make something that might resemble a straight level fence. Its one cursed warped ass fence.

Ha ha! Ill be back (soon as the next batch arrives)

Missing an update pic bc one of my plants was knocked down by heavy rain or a deer trying to cross in between my pots. Came to the patch to see her laying flat but still healthy and facing the sun so i staked her up so I’m sure she will be back in bush mode looking all pretty next time I go out there… everyone’s plants are getting huge!!!

I was going to post mine but after scrolling this thread I’ll save my embarrassment for another topic in another thread. Lol.

Great looking grows going on in this thread.

I knew they'd get pretty big given the added weeks with tranplanting as soon as weatherly possible, given on the best logic in theory I managed to conclude. but f*k, this is kinda hilarious and with thoughts of veg time remaining. Still another 6 weeks and maybe more (if my logic pans out and they begin flowering middle july like there "supposed to".

The closest these are genetically to others I have more experience with, the other close relatives stretched at least half of over all height. Before any preflower stretch ensued. I accuse the skunky genes for freakish behaviors, size and growth rates. The skunk berry got well out of control too, planted weeks and weeks later. theres that consideration plus these are even more freakish. More robust, beyond what seems more commonly normal to me.

Im going to be cheap with the botanicare, not that I see it helping slow down this freight, erm freak train.

I just gave them an entire 40 litres of worm castings to suck on. If your used to the all round better more convenient measurement system a litre is shy of a Qt. I actually did half half castings mixed with a very mild soil for top dressing. Maybe I should of mixed them with peat moss instead. It probably wouldn't hurt to had put them on a diet just this one time.

Have a good weekend everyone.
your friend always,
stinkfingers

P.S almost forgot, as always I freakin love this shit 🤪 !

Now take it away Danno'!

I've been busy and wasn't sure if I was ever going to get around to putting some plants outside this year. I had the morning free today so I went ahead and put 6 outside. I got a late start outside but the plants are already big, 4 of them were some mothers that had outgrown the tent. They were all in 1 gallon coco this morning getting fed multiple times a day. Now they are in bigger pots with soil, I added EWC and Blood meal. Hopefully that will last them a month with just tap water.

Gelato,Detroit lemonade and a triple shot of GG4 all started from clones. Weird weather for a start here in mid Michigan but all seem happy

Is it really bad for the plants to have black pots? I use black pots, always have and I live in the Valley of California where we get constant 90+ weather during the summer. Me personally I've never noticed anything harmful going on with my plants that are in black pots? But that might just be because I've never really looked into it and the effects of black pots. Unfortunately as I am constantly broke I can't even afford to buy new pots or even some spray paint or white material to wrap my pots in so I'm stuck with the black pots and black fabric 20 gallon bags

Probably depends on size but in direct sunlight on a 90° day i measured temps over 140° on the exterior.

I don’t think it’s a big deal with the fabric (as it has good air flow to the roots), but the black plastic is hell fire.
