So many wonderful ideas. I love the mixing of ideas in here, it stimulates the mind.
 
I use 1"×1"×12" styrofoam blocks cuz I had them already, I can break into smaller pieces if needed. I heard some use golf balls, seen someone cut the bottom off a milk crate and used that under the pot. Even seen someone use bottle caps. Personally I wouldn't use wood under them indoors, could grow molds.
Post a picture of an oak pallet growing mold. Or even softwoods. I use pallets indoors and out. I’d never set pots or buckets directly on the floor whether watering to runoff or not. Bags WILL grow molds.
 
Most of my bags have the green slime on their bottoms after a grow.

Fill the dish up with golf balls. You still need air flow under the pots.
 
I’m in a tub so the runoff goes away fast but their still sittin on the tub surface, things dry out in a couple of days they aren’t sittin in water like in a drain pan. I really hate to move em at this stage
